I use paint for *everything*
Its the best program (along with notepad) that microsoft EVER wrote. It never crashes, it never does anything you dont want to do. and it saves as .png or .jpg
all you have to do is instead of save, use the save as button and then save as type .PNG or .JPG

As for Paint - ok, sure, it can save to JPG if you remember to tell it to. Which most people don't. Other programs atleast force you to Export or Save As if you want a browser to be able to understand it... (the exception being Fireworks, which saves by default to uncompressed PNG, which is almost as evil as uncompressed bitmaps).

Yeah, it saves to png, but it doesnt export by default to png, and it is not evil, just because you dont like it.
NOTEPAD is not supposed to be the next Microsoft word, it is supposed to be a free easy stock-standard basic text editor, and thats what it does, just because its not open source doesnt mean you have to find everything wrong with it.

<span style="color: lightblue">Ofcourse it isn't meant to me the next MS Word, and we can't compare them. Unless you want to compare pasionfruits to cucumbers, that is. It could do with a bit of a revamp, though. Line numbering would be good, so would (basic) syntax highlighting. Those are useful for the type of people who would use a text editor alot: web developers, programmers, etc.

I don't play many games at all really. All I do on the computer is listen to music, post sometimes, talk on AIM and play the occasional strategy/RPG game. Sometimes I have to write a paper, too. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
