Did you guys know that in one of the lyrics of SOAD in the song Chop Suey is very wierd. they sing the lyrics:

Wake up (wake up)
Grab a brush and put a little makeup
Hide the scars to fade away the shake up
(Hide the scars to fade away the shake )
Why'd you leave the keys up on the table?
Here you go create another fable
(You wanted to)
Grab a brush and put on a little makeup
(You wanted to)
Hide the scars to fade away the shake up
(You wanted to)
Why'd you leave the keys up on the table?
(You wanted to)

I don't think you trust, in, my,
Self-righteous suicide,
I, cry, when angels deserve to die

Wake up (wake up)
Grab a brush and put a little makeup
Hide the scars to fade away the shake
Why'd you leave the keys up on the table?
Here you come...need another fable

(You wanted to)
Grab a brush and put on a little makeup
(You wanted to)
Hide the scars to fade away the shake
(You wanted to)
Why'd you leave the keys up on the table?
(You wanted to)

I don't think you trust in my
Self-righteous suicide,
I cry, when angels deserve to die
In my self-righteous suicide,
I cry, when angels deserve to die
In my self-righteous suicide,
I cry, when angels deserve to die

Father (mother)
Father (brother)
Father (■■■■■■)
Father (aaahh)
Father into your hands, I commend my spirit
Father into your hands, why have you forsaken me?
In your eyes, forsaken me
In your thoughts, forsaken me
In your heart, forsaken me

Oh, trust in my, self-righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
In my self-righteous suicide
Why cry when angels deserve to die

it was my friend who pointed this out to me... saying about religious significance. (related: about jesus dying on the cross) but of course its just propaganda

I'm sure you'd love to interpret songs from a religious background, but erm, no ;) - the lyrics are ambiguous enough to allow multiple interpretations, though it has been suggested it's actually full of metaphorical references to the Armenian genocide in the first decades of the 20th century, courtesy of the Turks.

Nah....i'm more in to heavier stuff, and uhm i think Amy Lee has a VERY one tone voice.....but that's just my opinion.

So, you're getting it, then? Cool, have fun, it's a nice CD...

But hey, why don't you get a Rammstein CD too? I mean, come on, if you like Evanescence, Rammstein'll be the perfect fit for you!

yeah, Rammstein rocks! best thing to come out of Germany since...well, to tell you the truth, I dont know any other German bands, but that doesnt make them any worse!

Oh, there are several good German bands out there...thing is, most of them sing in perfect English, so you don't know whether their German or not. ;)

I like Evanescence, and don't like (understatement) SoaD...but haven't Evanescence split? I heard that the band had split because they couldn't find a new drummer after their old one left, as he was the boyfriend of the singer...

I like a few Rammstein songs, but it's not really my type of music...that is, I don't hate them, but I don't love 'em either.
