what's limit break mean anyway?

As you get attacked in FF7, your "fury" increases, when you reach a certain point, you have your limit break, I guess it just means your character lets out all their anger in one huge attack.

It's when you've been hit so many time over the course of one or many battles, you get a 'super' attack that does more damage than your normal one. For most there are 8 of them you can get over the game.

A LOT more damage, usually. Especially once you get the lv.3 limits. The limit bar goes up far too slowly once you're past the lv.1 limits. I only used lv.3 limit twice, and I can go in the final dungeon.

Limit breaks help a lot in defeating enemies that are a major pain in the ass.
