Tentacles being chopped off is a bit like called-shots. I'm sure that both can be figured out, but they aren't "readily" doable in DC right now. Now, the upcoming version of DC may be a different story. :D I think with monster summoning effects, you could have a monster that when it reaches 50% of it's starting hit points be removed from the combat and replaced by another...i.e. squid replaced by squid minus tentacles. :)

Icon swap. Thats what I wanted to hear. This answers my question on the other message board. But now I gotta ask: "upcoming version"? is there another release in the near future???

We can do icon swapping now...in version .914. I had a tutorial of it up for a long time, and offered to put it up again (in the other forum) but no one seemed interested. I will still of course put it up, but I'm going to take my time, i.e. continue to worry about the next release.

The next release, by the way, is a reference to version 1.0. Will it be soon? Sooner than everyone expects it and not as soon as I would like it. ;)

I do remember trying it like 6 months or so ago, but having no luck with it. I'll give it another try when you set up a tutorial of it. In the mean time, I'll keep you posted on anything DC related that I come up with. As for version 1.0 looking forward 2 it.

Which version of PSP are you using? It's likely that the version I'm using does, but I don't know how.

Wow, Im not sure the date of that post, but I haven't had a copy of psp in (Im guessing at least) two years. I believe I had psp 5, but again this was a while ago. Now I use paint and/or GIMP, and I no longer have it (went the way of a HD crash, and the disk might still be with my stuff in storage in michigan but I doubt it. I dunno if I still have it)

I do remember playing around with its perspectives and stretch/skew, and was able to do a lot just on experimenting. I wish I could recall more, but I dont have the program anymore.

Hey Tom, I think PSP from version 2 on up can do it. I never tried version 1, so I don't know, it can probably do it too.

Here a shot from PSP 6 (I know it's old, but it works great, and why buy another one if the one you have works?). Do note that you must have your image as a layer, or if doing just a selection, that must be a layer (or floating).

Thanks! I have PSP5, but I've never used that function. I agree about keeping programs that work. I still use Deluxe Paint 2, as well as PSP3.

I keep trying to use the GIMP, as it really does rock, and it's free and open source and all that other good stuff. But, I have PSP 6 and Photoshop 7. They do everything I want to do with graphics. But, if I ever come across something that I can't do in one of these two, I will seriously get into the GIMP. Hmm, since it allows Python scripting, I should probably do it anyways. It might be nice to write a little script that takes a texture and makes a wall and matching combat wall... ;)
