I have a great drum that an African friend brought me over from Ghana. I must say, I do like to wack hell out of it (especially when I'm in a temper) but really I prefer to dance to drum, than play it. Drums are major - they drive me crazy...... One of the things I most want to do over the next year or so is go to Africa. There's a great drumming school in Ghana that is run by the Ghanese Master Drummer....... They do dance also. I think it would be an awesome experience to go, and to travel in Africa also. I have some wonderful music from Senegal, and Uganda too... But South American music is also fab on the drum/major rhythm front.
