WOW! What a show last night... so much happened.

Next week is the season finale. :( waaaaaaa....

BTW, The TV show "Drive" on FOX was canceled after 4 episodes. wth??? It was kinda boring....

manikus 05-15-2007 02:13 PM

I liked the show, but wished that they had revealed if (and what) Papa Nakamura had powers.

The bad guys really took a hit last night. :D Now, it's just Mama Patrelli versus Papa Nakamura with all of the younger folks as their pawns.

I was sad to see Ted go. I liked that character a lot and thought he was the most realistic as far as his reaction to his powers. It was kind of like "WTF, I don't want these. Did you do this to me? If so, make it stop." :D :D :D

Balintherlas 05-15-2007 02:50 PM

Hahahaha hey, when Sylar flipped that van over, who didnt think of x-men 3?

JrKASperov 05-15-2007 04:25 PM

Uh I didn't. :D

In any case, I really thought that a certain mobsters' death was REALLY REALLY harsh and I was really suprised when it happened. Afterwards I was kind of satisfied that they did dare to put it in. Good plus for the show!

manikus 05-15-2007 06:17 PM

When Sylar flipped the van over my wife said what I was thinking- Magneto.

I'm sad to see Linderman gone, just 'cause I think Malcolm McDowell is such a great actor. Even Claire couldn't come back from that.

Since future Sylar can walk through walls, either that means that something has already changed to stopo that future from happening, or D.L. doesn't die from his gunshot wound.

Balintherlas 05-15-2007 09:29 PM

Oh yea, I thought I was watching HBO, did you see the hole in his head when they zoomed out?

manikus 05-15-2007 09:46 PM

Ya, D.L. got down to business. What happened to the brain though? I saw it in his hand...I guess it just got dropped or whatever, maybe kicked under the desk or something.

Balintherlas 05-15-2007 10:42 PM

I thought he just squished it?

if sylar can walk thru walls, that means someone with that ability dies. I can only think of one person with that ability.

I rewatched that scene a couple of times. I know...kinda sick.
D.L. pulls the brain out, and then they change camera angles and you see him from across the room as he (D.L.) collapses.
I couldn't tell if the brain was squished or dropped or whatever. :(

Balintherlas 05-16-2007 03:23 PM

Hey, did you notice how when Linderman fell dead, his face was flat on the floor, then the next shot was with him laying on the left side of his face?

manikus 05-16-2007 04:13 PM

Okay, hold on while I watch it again. :D

You are right, and not only that, but his hands were close together above his head with the gun in the grip of his right hand, but in the later part of the scene, his hands are farther apart, with his right hand being even with his head, and the gun beside it, not in it.
Is there something we don't know about Linderman? Or, did the person in charge of congruency drop the ball?

Ziroc 05-17-2007 12:28 AM

Linderman may not be dead, Remember, his ability to raise the dead and heal others? Heh.. Wonder if he will be back? Seemed short to me...

He is a high priced actor, so maybe he is gone... but you never know!

manikus 05-17-2007 12:45 AM

If he can bring himself back from a de-braining ;) then Peter better meet him. Then if he loses to Sylar a time or two more it won't be such a big deal.

I personally don't care, finale is gonna kick some serious ass!

manikus 05-18-2007 11:24 AM

What happened to the gal that could hear cell phone signals and radio waves? She was the gal that Convinced Parkman and Ted to go after HRG in the first place...

I have a lot more questions than they can answer in one hour. :D (Probably a lot more than they can answer in two hours.)

The Online Comics seem to take care of her.

Check out the interactive novels on the NBC website HERE

Thanks. I completely forgot about the comics. D'oh.

Balintherlas 05-19-2007 05:56 PM

I dont really like those online comics, but man, she was a good looking girl with an interesting power and she was only in the show for like 5 minutes.

manikus 05-19-2007 09:42 PM

No kidding. Hana 'Wireless' is totally kick-ass in the comics and she's just barely in the show.
Plus, she's taking on a big mission that HRG and the others know about (in the comic), but they don't even mention in the show why they don't have to worry about the implants any more.

BTW, they give an interesting back story to Linderman and Papa Patrelli. It makes me kinda wonder why he committed suicide...

Balintherlas 05-20-2007 05:19 PM

Hey fellas and ladies, only 27 hours and 40 minutes before The Finale!!!! I hope they don't leave too big of a cliff hanger at the end, not like Lost.

T-D-C 05-21-2007 09:14 AM

Counting down now.

Im predicting that we will see the explosion but we won't know who survives or who blew up as the credits start rolling.

Balintherlas 05-21-2007 01:18 PM

Yea, I know its gonna be something

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 05-21-2007 08:00 PM

Ok, here's the way it went down... nah, I wouldn't do that to y'all. ..very good ending to the season though!

..and this is why time goes by so fast.. ..'cos we can't wait for Volume 2 to start.

I cannot believe that Sylar got away, but am glad for it because if there's one guy that makes a good villian, it is definately Sylar...HOWEVER...The little girl that can find any person says that there is somebody out there far worse than Sylar and she don't even want to think about him because he can see her when she does...and that REALLY is freaking me out as to who it will be and what will his powers be...ARGH!

My biggest problem with the whole Peter and Nathan thing at the end is that Claire could have put him down with a bullet and took it out later...and he would have healed. Or why could Peter not fly himself to safety?

I REALLY liked seeing everybody have a hand in the fight. Peter was losing, Hiro comes in and saves the day with his stab, Nikki got in there and had a hand in the fight, stupid Matt even thought he could do some good with a few measely bullets, Suresh was running around saving EVERYBODY that was bleeding to death...it all went down so cool and I HATE having to wait until gods knows when for the next volume.

I'll own all this on DVD, too...I'm afraid.</font>

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 05-22-2007 05:48 AM

Nathan had to help Peter because Peter said he couldn't do anything. The ability took control. Also, I think you were referring to Matt shooting; I don't remember either of the brothers doing so.

I really liked how they used the "save the cheerleader.." bit: it was sacrifice through love that saved.

T-D-C 05-22-2007 07:25 AM

All in all I liked the show but the ending left me feeling a bit anti climatic...

So Peter should have (if he survived) Super strength and time travel now as a power. If he got a bit closer to DL he could have got Micah, Molly & DLs powers as well.

Will Peter return???

Don't get me wrong I can't wait for Season 2 and am I right in saying that Sylar once again put his mind into the cockroach?? That is how he survived?

Also was peters conversation with the black guy him time travelling or dreaming?

If he was dreaming could the black guy be there person that can see you when you are dreaming that Molly is afraid of since he can see her when she is looking for people?

Dare we assume that is he dead?

Still more questions....

When does season 2 start?

EDIT: Just finished reading the online novel Part 2. Looks like our Wireless isn't quite dead and is talking to our favourite computer hacker hero.

If only Nathan had read comic books growing up, he would have seen several heroes steering nuke warheads over open waters and fleeing before the explosion. I know that you wouldn't want to drop your brother over the open sea, but...why kill yourself too? :D (Just playing the Devil's Advocate, here.)

If Mama Patrelli wants a bomb, do you think she will hunt down Sylar and nurse him back to health so that she can convince him to blow up New York?

Is Kensei Hiro's ancestor? His father? Hiro?

I think I understand Peter's inability to focus...so many questions- they are beginning to overload my brain. If my hands start glowing, will somebody fly me out over the ocean, far away from all people?

In the flashback at the start of the show, when they pull back, Linderman is still face down with the hands where they were (above his head). I think it's cool that they fixed that bit.

Olorin 05-23-2007 04:05 PM

I watched the last two episodes last night, they were great!

The ending didn't sit as well with me though. Why didn't anyone notice that Sylar had crawled away? You would think that Claire at least would have wanted to make sure he was dead (why not empty her gun into him after Peter was flown off?).

Lots of unanswered questions as well. Will Peter heal from the explosion? Did Nathan sacrifice himself, or did he take Peter to a safe distance and then get himself away?

I thought that it was smart of them to keep the older generation under wraps, so to speak. Besides Linderman, we don't know for sure what anyone's powers are.

Ziroc 05-23-2007 07:26 PM

I think Nathans mom can control peoples minds. They kinda hinted at it with the camera angles..

I just that was her force of personality, her zealotry. I think she has prophetic dreams, which would explain where Peter got that from.

Firestormalpha 05-23-2007 11:23 PM

Yeah-ctually, Peter's prophetic abilities came from Isaac Mendez. Earlier in the series.

The very first time we see Peter, he tells Nathan about the dreams he has been having. He doesn't meet Issac until later.
Plus, Isaac's power manifests while the person is awake and is painting. It's only known to the individual after they are done painting. (We got to see examples of both Peter and Sylar working this way.)
