Rain rain and more rain today....ok, so who wants to just bottle it up and cart it off for me? This is one of the craziest summers I can remember- more rain than I've seen in one season, that's for sure! We've got flood warnings in my town (we're near the convergence of two rivers).

Saw X-men3 with the hubby on Friday and Cars with hubby and a friend on Saturday. Gotta say Cars was worth the time and money. Wasn't quite as impressed with the XMen3 movie though. All action/special effects and not enough story for my taste. But it was ok for a Friday night out with my spouse. [img]smile.gif[/img]

A vampire bat came flapping in from the night, face all covered in fresh blood and parked himself on the roof of the cave to get some sleep.

Pretty soon all the other bats smelt the blood & began hassling him about where he got it.

He told them to nick off & let him get some sleep, but they persisted until he finally gave in.

"OK, follow me", he said & flew out of the cave with hundreds of excited bats behind him.

Down through a valley they went across a river & into a huge forest.

Finally he slowed down & all the other bats excitedly milled around him, tongues hanging out for blood.

"Do you see that large oak tree over there?" he asked.

YES, YES, YES!!!" the bats all screamed in a frenzy.

"Good for you!" said the first bat, "Because I flippin' well didn't!!!"

HELLO EVERYONE! Hope you're all having a reasonably nice day/night and enjoy your weekend!

Our excitement for yesterday was my hubby calling me just about my lunchtime to tell me he'd gotten something in his eye and couldn't get it out and it hurt pretty bad. I went home and took him to the doctor who couldn't find anything there (probably came out before we got there) but did a thorough check to be sure no damage was done and sent us on our way with some antibiotics and drops for the hubby.

I'm hoping today is less 'exciting'! :D

I've seen cars get wrecked that way...and I'll just go get my own cookies... :(

It's suddenly more than quiet at my office. The few people who were in during the afternoon have all left and it's like a ghost town in our building.
