why does neighbors take advantadge of people? I loaned my phone to m neighbor, a few days ago, and she returned it yesterday! then she borrows it again, and now she is not home! it is a cell phone, and I am really upset about it, they have called my brother twice today, and she erases the call logs, not evn caring that I might have unsaved numbers in there, I can not lock the call logs on this phone, so i have no way of stopping her from doing this, should I start being mean and telling her no, she can not use it? or perhaps lie and say it si broken, when in a way it is, she broke the Antenna off of it during her last borrowing of the phone, what can I do that does not sound mean, or ruiin what little friendship there is?
p.s. another about her, she is also supposed to be our bay sitter, but just before time for her to take the kids, she dissapears, and then when she comes home, it is always oh I forgot.....than she tries to back out of it,she sent her 12 year old son, and his sister, and a 13 year old biy over here, and they wound up getting online, and messing with stuff, and hitting on a 36 year old woman, she does not control her kids, grrr, ok rant off for now

When she wants to borrow it you could always say you are expecting a phone call.

tried that one already :? she "promises" to bring it right back, she is giving everyone my number, we have calls coming in at all hours of the night now, for her

just odn't lend it. what little friendship it sounds like there is it's not worth the headache. tell her you've had enough of being put off by her and her children.

i did that to someone and she actually came crawling back because i was the only person to tolerate her. i am doing much better not letting her walk all over me again. but you have to decide when enough is enough and when to tell her to get out of your life. you can control how much stress ppl put on you, especially if they call you "friend"

This is more an agility-matter than a constitutional one: being able to scratch your nose without getting soap in your face! :D

I know, but I feel guilty even thinking things like this, because she has cancer, and will eventually die, and I feel if I am mean to her, I will feel like an evil person

Then it would be her who keeps getting calls for you forsome time until everyone gets your new number.
