Evening, all. Glad to see that Horatio has taken his medication. (Puts away syringe with Haldol 10 mg. in it)

Horatio 08-30-2002 06:07 PM

Yeah, I took it. Kinda difficult not to when you've got an entire conga line with AK47s levelled at your head.

Not troubled,no not at all. I just know what needs to be done. Its odd, I don't know how to explain it. Things change. I think so have I. I just am.

Horatio 08-30-2002 06:11 PM

This is gonna sound quite...harsh. But do you accept that in your proffesion you will HAVE to KILL a person at one time or another. You may wish not to answer this, and not even to give a reply. I do not mind. I am just curious, as I have never been in the armed forces.

"Is she a drow ...... or worse a matron mother
*Runs away from Matron mother Kaltia, scared so scared*"

Probably yes, I would think so. lol. She seems to have considerable knowledge of them... so, yes, I think she could be classed as one, whacks

Yes, I am well aware that I might need to. If I go to fight its a possibilty. I am infantry. 11Bravo. Small arms fighter. I want to be an Airborne Ranger. Like in we were soldiers. I need to do it.

Horatio 08-30-2002 06:26 PM

Ah. I see. Then I commend you.
My great uncle Tom was a commando in the Second World War. He joined the army when he seperated from his wife. He had a personal death sentence by Hitler. He was captured in Poland, sent to a concentration camp. he escaped, and wandered around until he was captured and sent back. He escaped again. he made for Germany, but was captured. He escaped, but was discovered in a village and recaptured. He escaped, went down through Germany, through Nazi-occupied France, across the Channel and home. Amazing guy. Commandoes, they are some people. Not sniping from 50 metres away, getting in with knives or bare hands if they have to. Come out soaked in blood, which is the worst way to do it, in Tom's opinion. Tom always had a smile on his face, and he never said how he'd got back across the Channel. Don't believe me if you like, but I know it's true. Tell me, Dizzy, how do you value medals? What do they mean to you, personally? Anything? Everything?

dizzy 08-30-2002 06:42 PM

Medals are good to honor serivce and great deads. But I am just going to do what needs to be done. Its what I feel is right in my life.
I believe you.

Thank you, Diz.
My grandfather also served in the war, bu unlike Tom, he was infantry. Head been at Dunkirk, and France, and all over Europe. He saw VERY traumatic things in his lifetime, things that I wil not repeat here or probably anywhere else because they are terrifying and sick. Upon returning home he recieved a medal.
1 medal, he said, for watching his friends bleed to death in front of him, to know the fear of Dunkirk, for hvin thefeeling of gut wrenching grief when the man in front of you falls and you are left fiddling with a rifle. My grandfather held a great loathing for the Allied Governments by the end of WW2, and when he got home he threw his medal across the room.
Luckily, the governments nowadays arenot those of the pre50s, but still there are bitter veterans. I can't remember who said it, but: "It will be a cold day in Hell when the government does not send innocents into the slaughterhouse".
