I don't see anything wrong with being Elitist for Elitist sake, Where a problem comes in is being elitist about something, and not alowing others to be elitist about the opposite. It's called Hypocrocisy.
Hiero, you brought some perfect examples, I ask by what standards are the exmples based on? What is smart, graceful, beautiful, strong, and articulate to some maybe simple-minded, oafish, ugly, weak, and easily-duped to others. So if somebody is of the mind set that we must be tolerant,respect diversity, and others point of view, yet they turn around and don't do that, there in becomes a problem. To ME it would be simple-minded, oafish, ugly, weak and easily-duped, to beleive in totlerance, and diversity yet hold others in comtempt because they are diverse from the postion of one's self. That's why I write all the time make up your own minds on things, it's your life, etc. [img]smile.gif[/img]
