So far I'm still the DM of this RP(I might let the players control it at some later point.), and I say that if you need an AD&D spell level to set as your max, then it will be 5/6th level.)

Your character is like eigth level or something..he cannoy cast caco-fiend, or summon earth elementals for that matter (which, IIRC need at least two rounds 'mind-battle' before they can be used, or if it goes wrong, destroyed)..
Try to stick to character, and realism, 'cause if you don't you ruin it for others too.. ;)
