if you think about it, it's not too hard to see ron turing to the dark side.
after all his family is poor, insulted constantly, and he's upstaged by harry.
he may be a loyal and good friends, but who knows.
people change
and the books do seem to be getting darker in plot.
it could happen.
i reckon its not much more likely than ginny or hermione though. if you think, everyone potentialy has a weakness that could be used to turn them against harry.

I personally would like to see a lot of the little mysteries solved, they almost ruin the experience for me. All this hinting and alluding to things really annoys me.
One, of many, questions I'd like answered: Why, of all people, did Voldemort kill Harry's parents?

elianne 02-09-2003 04:40 PM

well, other than the fact they were against voldemort
(perhaps in the order of the phoenix? or aurors?),
it has been suggested that harry and therefore his father james potter where relations and heirs of godric gryffindor.
which obviously explains why lily didn't need to be killed, as she wasn't a blood relation, so not a threat to voldemort.

That's Snape's modus operandi all over. The snitch. He follows Lupin, Black and the gang around when they were all at school together, sneaking around and trying to discover what secrets they had. He does the same thing years later, sneaking around and trying to take down Sirius Black himself (and trying indirectly to get Lupin thrown out). He is forever trying to get some dirt to stick to Harry so HP can be expelled. He works behind the scenes to keep HP alive in the first book, however - even going so far to threaten Prof. Quirrel (but not going to any higher authority - possiby through lack of proof?) And, of course, betraying Voldemort by turning double-agent. The man's a complete creep, but turning traitor against the most powerful Dark Wizard ever takes guts. My money's definintely on him trying the same thing again.

Yep.. Somewhere this summer it's gonna come out. Looking forward to it as well, as I've read all the previous books. I was happily surprised to see that... (perhaps) SPOILER!!!

People actually die in the book (Cedric Diggory). And not the dying as in: my parents have died, but more like: green light, and Cedric was dead.. Not a real children's book after all

Apparently after the Prisoner of Azkaban she had letters and e-mails from parents saying "good book but this is how you should write it" because it was too scary for their kiddy-widdies.

Too scary  What was scary about the Prisoner of Azkaban? The Dementors? The 'final scene' where Lupin turns out to be a werewolf?
