While we indeed do not want war, the Iron Throne has already made a rather hostile display in it's statements concerning rising again and controlling the Sword Coast. I suggest the council should concider imposing a censurship on the Iron Throne to prevent it from ever attaining "dangerous" levels of influence.

This council meeting was set up to discuss Kobolds, not to analyse the Iron Throne. As for my earlier statements, they did not go unprovoked. In fact the very first statement I made in this meeting was remind everyone that we were successful in integrating Rogue races with humans. This statement was sneered at and calls for an investigation into my organization arose, in essence I was not the first person to make attacking remark. Well, a whole new post to continue the largesse that is Kobold Integration. This can only suggest that political will and open debate are alive and well in the Senate. It gladdens my heart to see such events unfold.

And what events! Censure, ribaldry, assault, counter-assault, insinuation, accusation, monologue, dialogue, pathos, irony and farcical mummery. Wonderful.

Gentlefolk of Faerûn, the debate is still on. Our esteemed colleague and Chairman Legolas has invited us to continue the (irrascible) question of Kobold Integration (KI), and the lamentable episode at Area 51. No culprit has emerged I understand from the Chairman's original remarks. That is ill news indeed. Before I began my final testing at Carilanthus' School of Witchery and Arcane Mutterings, I felt sure that an arrest would have been made and full disclosure of the legal investigations of misapporpriation of Senate funds would have been concluded. Not so I fear.

So, how best to continue? Has the Senate reached any conclusions regarding the follow-up programme that Baggins will (most likely) wish to see initiated? Have we considered our next "target" of racial rectitude for integration to the civilised Sword Coast? I suspect not, and that may be no bad thing on our part. We must see an end to the notion of corruption within our hallowed halls, and call upon Mr Underhill to provide an account of his own investigations into the massacre. The Senate must have answers, and I call upon each and every member of the House to do their duty.

Justice must not be done, but it must be seen to be done. If we are to have an open and honest attempt at racial reparation, we must be seen to provide the safety of our target sites. We cannot hope to bring Kobolds in from the cold if they feel that their very lives will be threatened at every turn. Only this way will we finally have our answer to KI, and whether it is an achievable and noble goal, or sheer folly that must be avoided like the plague.
