Re: New Icons!

I'm not at a computer that has DC on it at the moment, but yes there is a direct relation between size and squares.

The overland feature uses squares that are 16x16 pixels in size. So, your overland graphics should always be 16x16 to be safe.

Hmm, I have not had any problems with the overland map not working... I guess the first thing to do is to check the size (to see if it's a multiple of 16) and then to check the config.txt to see if it matches that size. The overland can be other sizes if you like, but if it's the size that DC expects, there should be no problem.

Something I noticed when importing FRUA modules to DC is that the DC overlands are four tiles longer at the bottom, compared to FRUA overlands.

New bugbear icon... Need something to populate 3rd level dungeons besides ogres ("Me smash!")...

Nice bugbear. :) I like the prince of evil earth creatures, too - he looks so soft and fuzzy! :D:D:D

I like the wild horse as well. I think you could easily do some recolors to have a whole bunch of different kinds of horses. :ninjas:

I like my Ogremoch, he looks sort of like Poop-man :D By the way, is there any way to put accents (as in foreign characters) on letters in DC? (The "e" should have an accent on top.)

Regarding the horses, I will do a brown recolor of the tarpan, and probably do some additional horses of sort sort after that (larger horses)...

Re: New Icons!

I actually haven't tried special characters in DC, but as long as they are part of the character set you are using, they should work as DC is using Window's functionality.

Hmm - guess you are right, but I actually don't know how to input such a character normally (on my site I used special characters (i.e. using "&eacute," plus a ";" to get "é")...

Re: New Icons!

You hold down the "Alt" key and type a three numbered code (I can also do four numbered codes which always start with 0). When you release the "Alt" key, the symbol appears. :D

This trick works for Windows, Linux, Mac and Unix. I suspect it will work on the Solaris and BSD families of OS's as well.

For some reason, that doesn't seem to work in Japanese Windows... but I will try some things...

I'm not surprised, as the whole set of characters is western. I'm sure there must be some trick, though.
