Did someone say expansion for IWD2??? :D I just loaded my IWD2. With NWN and that and my trying to finish final battles in IWD/TOL/HoW and maybe tackling BG2 again....whew...you may never see me! LOL

<font color = lightgreen>Well, it doesn't make any sense to me, Attalus. IWD2 beats NWN hands down; I don't even bother with NWN anymore. I think they should use the Infinity Engine they modified for IWD2 to create BG3; I, for one, would buy it.

Thanks for the warm welcome!! I've been checking the board for close to a year since my maudlin exit last year. I was incapable of being a positive contributor at that time because of certain issues but those issues have improved considerably. Therefore, I will make another attempt at contributing to this community once more.

Azred, tell me what you mean by IWDII being a better game than NWN. Better story? Graphics? I happen to love the story of NWN, being a huge Sharwyn and Aribeth fan. Do they have joinable NPC's, or it a dungeon crawl like IWD? Does Drizzt show up? Come on, tell.

<font color = lightgreen>For some reason, perhaps because I have only a 500MHz processor, NWN runs quite slowly, especially in large battles or with lots of environmental effects like fountains, etc. I also hate those stupid chests that have magical traps that Tomi cannot disarm, forcing my fighter to soak up the damage--only to find a suit of banded mail. Whoop-de-do. [img]graemlins/dontknowaboutyou.gif[/img] My enjoyment level of NWN is significantly lower than my enjoyment level of IWD2.
No, there are no joinable NPCs hanging out around the Ten-Towns; I don't mind, because I've never met an NPC that I really like or have found to be really well-designed. Personal quirk.
The setting for IWD2 is still several years before the first recorded sightings of Drizzt, so no uber-drow. I do hope they don't use or even mention Crenshinibon again--been there, done that.
