<font color= lightgreen> Well, Keal, there are several things we need to do.I don't think we'll need to leave the planet, though. I've already investigated Fey'lya's office, so that's no longer an issue. Rooga's office is still untouched, as is the Generals. After my little disturbance at the senate, though, I don't think we should try and get back in there, just yet. Security is sure to be on high alert, and we do not need to be arrested. I would suggest that someone check out the General's apartment in Tarklan Tower, and someone else look into the shielding companies. Other than that, I'm pretty much tapped out.</font>
|
<font color=red>"Don't bother with the shielding company, Terrask, Bakilas, and I got what iinformation we could from them. Anyway, I was about to head to the Generals office myself."Keal gets up onto his speeder and heads to T. T.( ) and then goes to the Gnerals office/appartment.</font>
|
OOC: Sorry about my lack of posting, uni and life have been keeping me busy.
IC: "I wonder if we could dig up some of the people who worked on the shields, they may have seen or heard something of interest." [ 04-17-2005, 01:16 AM: Message edited by: shadowhound ] |

“Whatever our plan is were going to need to start acting with a bit more caution. A assassin tried to kill the Nautolan last night, god knows who sent him. Where theirs one hitman, though, their always a few more. From now on we should always move in groups, and watch what kind of tracks we leave. We shouldn’t use this building anymore unless we have to, chances are they can track us from it. I say we find a new safe house, one that only we know about.” |
<font color= lightgreen>I dont think that will be necessary. After all, this is especially set up with sanctions from the Chancellor, himself. And if you're really bothered, I can make this building electronically disappear.</font> <font color= green>A look of inspiration comes over Joneth's face.</font> <font color= lightgreen>As a matter of fact, that doesn't sound like a half bad idea!</font>
|
<font color="dodgerblue">"The Nautolan? I have a name y'know, human. You're a bit nervous aren't you? I saw to the attacker. He didn't get a scratch on me. I even puffed up my cheeks and got a bit intimidating. Not my style but, hey. As long as you keep your guard up and don't go off getting drunk every night, we'll be fine. As you are, you're a liability. And while I'm at it, stop it with the whole 'kid' thing. It's me who seems to be looking after you, not the other way round."
Te'Oma stops and looks around, realising he's gone off on a rant.</font> |
Terassk watches as the scene unfolds, watches Te'Oma rant, then states "I would be willing to help with anything being done, Mr.Joneth, however, I fear about these attackers, and I believe that because Te'Oma dispatched one that there may be some coming out for revenge, so we may have to orchestrate in groups, as I believe that the hitmen will soon also"
|
<font color=white>
Eceil hands begin to shake, although he makes a visible effort to quell their spasms. “Let me tell you something, kid, about the real world and living with those talents of yours. In twenty years you’re going to want a drink, trust me, your going to want a whole god damn lot of them. I made a dumb choice last night, alright, I’ll admit it. But you’re making a worse one brushing the danger aside here. These people have killed 900,000 already, and anyone who can take out that many lives without getting caught sure as hell has the skill to crush you like a bug. Trust me; I’ve worked with monsters like them before. So puff those cheeks of yours out now, get it all out of your system, cause unless…” Eceil pauses, noticing he too has gone off into a rant. Everyone was staring at him, staring at this old, drunk, fool. Maybe the Nautolan was right, maybe he was just some kind of liability. Eceil gets up from his chairs and leaves the room, heading back towards his sleeping quarters. [ 04-18-2005, 12:30 AM: Message edited by: jolleyjester ] |
Bakilas watches as Eceil leaves, he then looks back at Te'Oma. With a shake of his head he heads to the armory to grab a shock baton.
When he returns he announces, "I intend to follow Keal, does anyone wish to join me?" |
<font color=lightgreen> It was rather fool-hardy of him to go off alone. I think it would be wise to send out a pair or more of us to join him, and then return. Terassk, i think you would could be best used by joining Bakilas. I myself have work here, but everyone may feel free to go, of course. But, please, do not go off alone.</font>
<font color= green>With that, Joneth, leaves the room, datapad in hand, his mind already whirling with what most would consider an almost improbable task.</font> [ 04-17-2005, 08:14 PM: Message edited by: Dron_Cah ] |
OOC: Good to see that you all can carry on the game a bit without me! Don't take too much in the way of liberties, of course, and I also must say that Dron Cah is my official voice on here when I'm not around...but anyway, this is the kind of roleplaying that doesn't need my input to work, and I appreciate it!!!
<font color=yellow>The group, with new confidence, ventures out on their own missions, with parts of the mysteries beginning to fall into place. Something about all of this was just a little bit too convenient when compared with galactic politics. Terrask and Bakilas follow Keal, but only manage it through knowing where he is going---he quickly out-distances them with tight maneuvering. Upon arriving, he makes it all the way to General Larsek's quarters, though the others arrive a few minutes behind him.</font> |
OOC: Glad to have you back, Poo.
<font color= green> Joneth is now systematically erasing all data about the base from every source he can find.</font> :D EDIT: forgot my dang sig, again! :\ [ 04-18-2005, 11:37 AM: Message edited by: Dron_Cah ] |
<font color=white>
As much as he tries Eceil can't fall asleep this early into the day. After staring at the rotting ceiling of his room for an half hour or so and coming to the decision that most of the others have already left he forces himself up. Wandering down the florescent hall aimlessly he stumbles into a small tech room, where he fines Joneth quietly working on a computer. For a couple long moments the only noise comes from the low hum of machinery and Joneth’s fingers furious dancing on the computers keys. Leaning up against the door frame Eceil clears his throat before speaking. "You need help with anything?" |
<font color= green>Joneth looks up and frowns for a moment,
<font color= lightgreen>Not unless you could speed up time, or decrease the number of data entries about this damn building.</font> He returns to typing for a moment, but looks up again. <font color= lightgreen>I know I dont have any rank or anything, but I would appreciate it if you would stick around the base untill the others get back. Well, unless you find someone else to go with you. I just dont want anyone out alone. Maybe you could practice some of your less used skills, or something?</font> A quick smile and nod, tells Eceil that Joneth is done speaking, as he returns to his work, which looks like it will take a while, judging from his bad posture in his seat. (< old programming joke).</font> |
OOC: Is anyone still in this room? Heh I lose track. Te'Oma will happily tag along with anyone except Eceil
|
OCC: everyones left but me and Joneth. Were in a tech room right now.
|
OOC: Bah! Heh heh. Looks like I'm all alone.
<font color="dodgerblue">Alone, sat in the meeting room, Te'Oma looks around him slowly, focusing on suppressing his anger, which within seconds, is under control. He stands up and heads out of the room. Soon enough, he finds himself looking out of the window in his quarters, waiting for inspiration to strike him. At this current moment he was feeling that the other members of the group had sided with Eciel. 'Why?' he thought. He hadn't started it. He even saved him from bleeding to death on the side of the road. And what thanks did he get? No... This isn't the way he should think. He should keep his mind clear. But what to do now?</font> |
<font color=yellow>A tall, athletic built human, the one called "Barrick" glances into the room, and sees Te'Oma. He speaks, </font><font color=white>"You're Te'Oma, right? I've heard that you're the older of the two Jedi in our group. I was wondering something, and figure you could answer my question. This "Force" thing, the Jedi don't say much to the public about it---heck, the public isn't even told who the people on the Jedi Council are, but that's beside the point. What I'm wondering is why you can't just use the Force to find who did this, and then lead us to him. Why can't you do that? Or can you?"</font>
<font color=yellow>Barrick gestures for Te'Oma to come along with him. Keal keys the intercomm for Larsek's home, trying to reach someone. The housekeeping droid, over the intercomm, informs him that General Larsek has not been home for some time. It asks if he would like to forward a message to the General. By this time, Terrask and Bakilas finally catch up to him, stumbling upon him just as the conversation with the cleaning droid is ending. The three of them stand in a well-lit white corridor with chrome trim, making a significant contrast with their surroundings. A small cleaning droid rolls past. Keal gets a glimmer of something through his danger sense, and dives out of the way, knocking the other two flat upon the floor as the cleaning droid explodes, dealing 35 damage to all three of you. OOC: Not everyone's health is correct in their profiles, so be careful---I know that that amount of damage didn't kill any of you, but in Bakilas' case, it's enough to render him unconscious. Remember, since you're level 2, that means your health is going to be your athletics times 10! Also, since it was at least half of Keal and Terrask's health, they are significantly wounded, meaning they can't move very well. They can crawl, but that's about it. The smoke clears, and you notice a pair of humanoid figures scrambling out of the hole the "droid" blew into the wall of General Larsek's home. They run away, into the smoke.</font> |
<font color="dodgerblue">Te'Oma follows Barrick out of the room and down the corridor.
"It's hard to tell. The force can be be used to see... things. But it's veiled. It doesnt just appear in front of your mind. It's... best to not look at things that way... Who are you anyway?"</font> |
Terassk groans and looks to his fallen comrades, Bakilas was knocked out, he didn't know about the brave Jedi Kael, he had knocked them down before the explosion, he tried to find his data pad, to try to send a signal to his team, hoping the damn contraption hadn't been destroyed.
|
OOC: Being in a different tiemzone, you guys post a load of stuff while I'm asleep, so If the datapad isn't broken, then just imagine I run imidiatley to help. If it's bust, keep me here
|
<font color=yellow>The datapad's communication capabilities are limited, but Te'Oma gets the message, and hurries off to the building. By the time he gets there, however, via one of the two remaining airspeeders (meaning there is one left, those of you still there). Barrick stays behind, informing you that he'll catch up to you later.
When Te'Oma arrives on the scene, the residents have already responded by calling the CDF, who are already there (about eight officers at this point). They intend to question Terrask, Keal, and Bakilas, after the medical unit finishes treating their injuries. Joneth is finding that there are more entries on this Carracks Inc than he can erase---not all of them are even on Coruscant. The task really doesn't look feasible, even for a malicious virus.</font> |
<font color= green> Seeing his task is nigh impossible, Joneth decides to just erase what he can of the more important information of the building. Especially blue-prints, directories, and the such.</font>
OOC: Since I'm at my datapad, I assume I see this distress call. I'll take a look at what CDF is saying, and check up on the status of everything. |
OCC: Me too, sorry if my time zone difference slows the rp down at all.
<font color=white> Eceil reaches the scene of the crime within a few minutes of Te’Oma. He lands his speeder (he took the remaining one) with a swift splash of air three blocks away. Trying to sneak through the back alleyways as best he can without detection he works his way to the edge of buildings entrance. It’s there he finds the Nautolan standing quietly, his vibroswords sitting comfortably on his waist and his tentacles blowing in the wind like some deformed hair. Eceil glances at the landed vehicles he presumes belong to the officers preparing to interview their teammates, but the gaze is cut short when his bloodshot eyes connect with the creatures. Both of them exchange a wordless glare before Eceil creeps behind him to whisper in the alien’s ear. “Considering the mess were in already, I don’t think it’s a good idea for the police to get a chance to play twenty questions with those three. Whatever they say is going to leak eventually to whoever’s trying to kill us, and that’ll show them were after the general. I say we get them out of their, quick.” [ 04-19-2005, 11:12 PM: Message edited by: jolleyjester ] |
<font color="dodgerblue">Te'Oma recognises the voice by his ear and immediatley decides that given the situation, a truce would be a good idea.
"Yes you're right. Let's see if we can do this the easy way, if not, well, we'll have to come to that. Let me try something. If this doesn't work, then I'm all for following your lead." Walking up behind one of the important looking officers, he politely taps them on the shoulder, putting on his most persuasive face. "Excuse me, I've been sent from headquarters. Me and my companion have been assigned to this case." Focusing his concentration he let the force try to corrupt the mind of the officer, hoping that he could 'persuade' him to turn his three companions over to him. "We need to take these witnesses immediatley"</font> [ 04-20-2005, 05:24 PM: Message edited by: Beaumanoir ] |
<font color=red>Keal sits there with a slight pain in his head, but he figured he'd get over it.
"Eciel, he's the last person I'd expect to see helping me, I thought he'd be drunk by now," Keal thinks,"Te'oma has a plan, it's best if I just let it work."</font> |
<font color=yellow>Te'Oma (spends 30 FP) convinces the guards that he and Eciel are part of the investigation, and manage to return the others back to base for medical attention. On the way there, Eciel watches for signs that they are being followed, following himself in the other airspeeder. As Keal, Terassk, and Bakilas are in no condition to man an airspeeder, the two airspeeders they brought must be left behind.</font>

<font color= green>While in the medical bay, Joneth comes in to see how everyone is doing.
<font color= lightgreen>(sigh). Hadn't we just talked about being cautious? Anyways, I think it's fair to think that the General knows someone is after him, now. And with that, our leads are all but gone. What a wonderful night!</font> The dersion in his voice is like a cutting knife, despite the weak teenage voice that issues forth. he turns from the others, and walks away, shaking his head.</font> |
<font color=red> Keal tries to get up and says,"Well, that explains why General Larsek has been missing. Wich only leaves 2 things, he's either kidnapped, or hiding somewhere. But knowing how he probably had some kind of service following him, even though he was resigned, there's an equal chance for both."</font>
|
Terassk sniffs at the air, a heavy scent of bacta fills his senses,he shakes his head "I don't get it, however, how would he know we would be exactly there? How did he know to send a group of techs to help blow the droid bomb up? Something's not jake in all of this,"
|
<font color=white>
“He's got a point, but until we sort this out I have another lead we can start on.” With that Eceil walks to the middle of the room and lifts his torn shirt above his stomach, revealing the bandaged wound still there from last night. “I’m gona retrace my steps from last night, maybe I can find out who put this hole in my gut. It might lead us back to the assassins, and I have a feeling their gona know something about the general. I’d do this by myself but I know we’ve already used up all our miracles today. Who wants to tag along?” [ 04-22-2005, 07:23 PM: Message edited by: jolleyjester ] |
<font color=red>Keal thinks about Terrasks statement."I don't think that it was Larsek that sent the droid. I think that it may have been another assasin, and the best way to probably do that is to have Eciel drink himself to sleep again and wait for another assasin to go after him. Then, we all surround the assasin and try to nabb him." </font

<font color=white>
His dwindling senses had fooled him again. Te’Oma wasn’t the only other force sensitive here; they had a Jedi in their midst, and a brainless one at that! How could Eceil of missed this? Regardless, Eceil hears Keal’s remark slip into his ears and run down his spine with a burning ache, his face darts towards the young warrior in front of him. “You’re pushing your luck, kid. If I ever hear you say something like that again those assassins will be the least of your worries. Understand?” [ 04-22-2005, 10:19 PM: Message edited by: jolleyjester ] |
<font color=red> "How so?" Keal says, not frightened by the older man..</font>
[ 04-22-2005, 10:35 PM: Message edited by: Keal ] |
<font color=white>
“Trust me,” Eceil glares, “I’m still more than dangerous enough to put some sense back into you.” [ 04-22-2005, 11:26 PM: Message edited by: jolleyjester ] |
With a sharp whistle Bakilas gets the attention of Eceil and Keal, "If you two had not noticed we kind of have a situation here, one of our only leads has just been cut off from us and you two want to argue with each other? I think we should try to find out who could have rigged that droid."
|
<font color=white>
“Fine, but that’s gona be tricky too. Any suggestions?” |
<font color="dodgerblue">Te'Oma sighs and shuffles a bit on his feet.
"Okay, I'll come with you. But let's try and keep it civilised can we? How are you feeling? Up for a jaunt now? Or do you want to have some rest first? Either way, I'm just nipping back to my room to get some things. Come find me when you leave."</font> |
<font color= green> <font color= lightgreen>Well, just about anyone could rig that droid to explode. Hell, I could do it with one finger, while asleep, in about 31 seconds... Not that I time myself on that, or anything...</font> Joneth smiles sheepishly.</font>
<font color= lightgreen>So, anyways, didnt you get the general's comm frequency, Keal? Why dont you try raising him, and I could try to track it. I dunno if you noticed this yet, but this is kinda my thing. So, anyways, I'll also have to agree that the getting Eceil drunk idea isn't the best in the world. Meaning entirely horrible. Also, my guess would be that the General laid that trap for you, so that anyone who went sniffing around for him would be dead, or discouraged. Now, since that fun little line of questions is taken care of, lets do some real work, eh?</font> |
<font color=red>"No, I didn't, and I'm not gonna think about going back up there to go and get it, so unless youre going back up there, you can forget about that," Keal replies.</font>
