Speaking as a non-custodial Joint custody parent, I can say that Fathers (in this case the male parent) have little to no real say in a great deal of the issues. The law does not support equal treatment of the mother and father in the Great State of Maryland and it is only very slightly different in Pennsylvania. It seems (from my perspective) that all the laws are slanted toward the women....as if the Womens movement never made it into family court....not that Im bitter or anything....says the dad who's ex wouldn't let his kids call him on fathers day...(they didn't get home till after bed time was the official excuse)
