Generally, that's the same as in the US. Now, if the libel (written) brings about harm to the family name, a creative person could assert libel to the still-living members. There's also intentional infliction of emotional distress to consider -- if the monument is places with extreme indifference to the high likelyhood of a foreseeable harm to the family.

Oh, for people like Elvis, who live on in some corporate/estate form, the company itself may have a suit. ;)
