Rikard. Humor is reliant upon a mutual point of reference, and the subsequent shift in that point of reference or presentation of it in a new light.

If the point of reference has to be explained, the humor is lost.

In this case it is in the form of a bad pun. Soundalike. Yolk = Joke with a silent J.
