I do beleive you have characters in Diablo II. I have no reason not to beleive you. I also like Diablo II. I own it and the extension, althought I don't play it online. I tried the first day Diablo II came out and the connection was horrible, now I would not even touch battle.net with a 10 foot pole.

Well, at least thats out of the way then :D . I mean the arguements you and i have have sound exactly like the arguements my boyfriend and i have, not that ur like my boy friend lol. Its not every day i get to argue with a peson im on the level with intelligece wise, not that everybody else is stupid, god no! But im surprised diablo had a bad connection, i run a 56k and its always been perfect...its the ah...*cougasianscough* that make it so laggy. no offence intended people. I mean diablo2 and LoD are only worth it when youre out there dueling and getting ur oppenets money as it flys off their corpse muhaha...wait i said i wasnt gonna post anymore....ah well

The connection was very bad because the DII servers where untested and there was a limited bandwith, and LOT of people camped the stores to get the game on the first day, at my local electronic store, hundreds of copy where sold in the 4 hours after the oppening.

The servers where full of people. So much that the untested server had trouble supporting everyone, and the game was at it's first version, meaning thee was also full of bugs.

That was just for the first few days, and I am sure everything is ok now, but since them I just don't like battle.net.

I also don't have the time to invest in leveling some characters online, since I am already playing a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaing Game (MMORPG) called Asheron's CAll.

Hmm... did anyone ever think... Neither, don't choose Nalia or Edwin.... Ever since Edwin tried to get me to kill good people in the first BG, I wouldn't have anything to do with him except his head.. i'm not sure who ressurected him, but oh well

And Nalia? Come on, You have Imoen for a good portion of the game, not to mention the thief... grr.. eh. And plus, you can get knock pretty easy there's no need for a real thief except trap purposes, and most of those aren't too hard to overcome in this game, Imoen did just fine.

I choose neither, and yes, Edwin is a decent mage, but I would rather kill him and then die because I lacked his abilities, then to survive with his help, on principle of the matter.

Also about Nalia, it is a noble cause of hers... but she is not really the type you want hanging around a bunch of heros, her demeanor is such that she would make a great Martyr, but not as much an asset.

I like mage, especially mage who want to do good things, so I like Nalia. Altought If I could only take one character between Aerie, Imoen or Nalia it would not be nalia.

You know what is actually a lot of fun, is a party of pure fighters/tanks :D . From ToB actually, cause, for those of us who own it, we all know who the ultimate fighter/tank is in that game eheheh *grins evily*. So lets c, for a healer you could use jaheira...this was my tank party :D :
Myself(Female half-elf fighter/mage)
That certain ToB someone :D
Minsc
Jaheira
Keldorn
Valygar

ok so Keldorn and Valygar arent really considered bad-ass fighters, but u'd b surprised how fun it is when you take down a big boss in a few seconds cause everybody rushes him lol

Maybe I missed it, but I have seen no mention made of Jan Jensen. Ability wise, he won't progress much higher than Imoen or Nalia would, but his role is very funny and his stories are very entertaining and add a break to the constant bloodletting.

Lewzbel 03-25-2002 02:04 PM

Well, I think I've finally decided. In the past couple of days Nalia has annoyed me, so I might hang out with Edwin a bit. Then I'll kill him b/c in BG1 I had what's her name in my party...Dynaheir. I liked her. So I'll let Edwin get comfortable and then...BLAMMO. I'm chaotic neutral, btw, so for those who were concerned about the importance of roleplaying (and I agree with you), I think I'm sticking to the script. I may eventually just stick with Aerie since I don't have a cleric in my party, bu will that interfere with my Jaheira romance? I'm liking the possibilities of a spell trigger with mage AND cleric spells.

oldbittercraig 03-25-2002 02:09 PM

I gotta agree, Jan is the way to go.

Also, I have to side with the Roleplayers over the Rollplayers/powergamers.

Luvian 03-25-2002 03:42 PM

IF you have both Aerie and Jaheira, both of them will give you some love talk for a time, and they will argue a little between each other, then one day they will ask you to chose.

It won't cause any problem to your romance, and it will be entertaining.

Galadria, your comment made me think about stuff. If you so despise Evil characters, you shouldn't keep Viconia. Viconia is just as evil as Edwin, (atleast in the beginning) they both interact with other party members. Just about the only difference is that Viconia is a woman and Edwin a man. But if you are so up against evil characters, you should not take viconia for any reason, not because you can romance with her or because she is just about the best cleric in the game. I mean isn't Edwin the best mage. He's even better than a self-made mage!
