ooc> yes, very much thank you, almost to much ;)

 Talthus slowly sheaths his sword "You better thank these people raider, for they may have just saved your life. And as for you Elif, I apologize for you having to deal with such things, but I made a vow to confront such people at any point possible."
Talthus looks at everyone else "Like the rest of you I also have my deamons from the past to deal with. Please forgive my actions Elif, but know that if such an event takes place, it is not intentional. I have lived quite the life, and such events are common when raiders or any others which choose to take the path of evil are in my presence. If I must explain it to you then please join me in the next room as I do not wish to be forced to attack this raider again for even the sight of raiders is like a trigger." Talthus looks to Sky "m'lady, some food would be much appreciated but I'm afraid I will not be joining you for the entertainment. If I may, I would like to see your library, as I have something I must find, and this is the best place to start looking." Talthus turns to Alasdair once more "You had best not cross me again raider, for if you do, I may be forced to drag you out to the road and deal with you there." He spins and turns his back to Alasdair, looks at Sky, and puts his cloack back on, covering his head with the hood. "If I may, I'd like to begin my studies immediately m'lady." Talthus, ye shouldnt judge a person solely on ther appearence, you should give him a chance to respond before jumping to action, in my many years of life I have had to learn this lesson the hard way, I used to be much like you in that aspect, ready to fight any of those who looked liked or acted like those that transgressed against me. They kept coming and I kept killing until one day in a fit of anger I wronged the one I cared most for, I am still working for her forgiveness till this day and she has forgiven somewhat but I am forbiden to ever call on her again, only to hold her dear in my memories, ah but this is not what you wanted to hear, I can see that in the look on your face, you are elven and thus should live long, but I can tell you this 300 year's of solitude is not a happy existence, so do not alienate those who would call you friend just for the way they may look or from where they come. I too come from many area's of the north, and I also call many other lands and realm's home.
Now thank you Skye for being your lovely hospitable self, will you be joining us or shall we bid you goodnight in the proper fashion of gentlemen. ooc> Elif has been around for a looooooooooonnnnngggg loooonnngggg time, heh he was practically my first PnP char form 1980 ;) Other then Godson as his last name he also known as the Lost, for his many year's of solitude, he has out lived 4 generations of his family and yet still looks to be 30 and very youthful. "Elif, when I was a child, 60 raiders who attacked my village gave no thought to who I may be, and they never gave my family or me a chance to respond as I was being dragged away while watching them burn in the fire. Such things have caused me to open up a part of me which I do not wish to reveal, and that part of me keeps me from caring what another's response is unless it's valid and they can speak it within the amount of time it takes for me to draw my sword and make one slash. Time has been cruel to us both, but despite this, our two problems are much different, that is why I may have to speak to you alone if you don't understand."

ooc ~ Will it be okay if I role-play an extra character? Talthus has really inspired me. :D (If it's not okay or if you folks don't like this post, just tell me and ignore it; I'll delete it later. ;) Really, I mean it.)
IC ~ As Talthus was explaining his story to Elif, suddenly a voice was heard. It was refined and aristocratic in accent. "Look, dear friend," said the voice, "this gentleman is right, you can't just jump on anyone simply because he smells like someone you know who pissed you off before. This poor Alasdair Whomever is not the one you're after -- I am!" Surprised, everyone turned in the direction of the voice. There stood a tall high elf, as tall as Talthus but of slender build, clad in extremely rich clothes of shiny red silk. Much to everyone's astonishment, his face looked just like Alasdair's. And a large amulet in the form of a shield hung from his neck. It was red with 2 horns and a ring of fire around it, and two axes and an oak shield were over the top of this... Avatar gasped with shock... Talthus' eyes went wide with anger, his face flushed. He could feel himself trembling in the legs. How he wished he could simply rush forward and crush the bastard's windpipe with his bare hands. But no. His foe was just too powerful, and he knew it... The high elf looked at Talthus with an amused, casual smile, shaking his head. "Hey, what's the matter, aren't you happy to see me? Tsk, tsk, tsk, look at you, a poor, dejected little boy whose home and family got all blown up in flames... Such a pathetic little creature..." "Enough, you hell-cursed son-of-a-swine!" yelled Talthus. "Hey hey, like I've said, what's the matter? Not happy?" taunted the high elf. "Come on, then! Here I am, all yours for the taking!" The elf looked around nonchalently at everyone else for a moment. "But no, let's not mess up this place, it's too niiiice-ly built. What say you if we go outside and settle our score?" For a moment Talthus did not know what to say. He just stood there, breathing heavily and glaring furiously at the elf. "Look, my dear," continued the elf, "please grow up and learn to face reality, for goodness' sake. The strongest kid gets the candy -- everyone else gets a beating from him. No mummy's going to come along and make sure every kid gets his share. This has always been the law since time began. If you can't defend what you have and someone takes it away from you, whom have you got to blame? Only yourself for being the wimp you are. If you're not happy about that, well, you know what to do. Only question is... are you good enough to do it?" The elf paused for a moment to take a glance at everyone again. "Or let me guess... Friends? To help you? I'd be utterly surprised, Talthus! I mean, with your kind of person, do you seriously think you're ever going to have any friends?" The elf turned to Alasdair. "Would you like to be this big fellow's friend? Huh?" "Ah, well," sighed the elf, "I get tired of all this. Look, my bi-i-ig friend, if you're still not happy, just call on me when you think you're ready. Nothing like the sheer thrill of a fight. Just make sure you're up to it!" The elf turned to Chiao Fung and Avatar. "Your swordplay was pretty good when you dispatched my henchmen, friend, but please... don't try it on me, or you'll be very sorry indeed. Oh, and don't stick your nose into the matter concerning the dead dwarf either, my be-loved Avatar. You won't be happy you did it, I assure you. Farewellll!" And the elf suddenly jumped into the air and vanished... ooc ~ Haven't thought of a name for this elf yet, but I will; alternatively I leave it to you folks to come up with a name for him and to come up with ideas regarding who or what he is. And please feel free to role-play him. ;) [ 09-17-2002, 05:43 AM: Message edited by: K T Ong ] |
OOC: aaaaaw, thanks KT, and it's a good choice of character too! ^_^. Now, I just have to point out that I have already made my character's history and that's how he got here and everything, so I will reveal my history so you all know pretty soon, but the only way that this guy could be part of my past is if he was the person in control of the raiders to the North, and/or if he had forces to the South (I'll explain the whole Southern thing in a bit). Also, he probably shouldn't have the same face as Alasdair, mainly because it'll mess up my story, but also, Alasdair's a half elf, and this guy's a high elf...kinda odd. Just to justify the changing of his face as well, I was actually calling Alasdair a raider, like the ones from the North, and lastly, I'm looking for 2 old friends and someone else (who is good) so it just wouldn't make sense. I love the character so far though, and I think you should keep em in here but please make the appropriate changes. (although I can make it so I'm looking for this guy too if you like)
IC: Talthus clenches his fists and screams "GET BACK HERE YOU COWARD!" (please don't make em come back ^_^) "I can't just sit here while such evil lurks around unopposed, but I can't do anything before I'm done in this place." he looks at Elif "I will be outside if I am needed" he turns his back and strides outside outside: Talthus briskly climbs the closest tree overlooking the road, leans against a branch and begins to sharpen his two boot daggers with a scowl on his face. |
ooc ~ Glad you liked my character. Talthus. :D As I've said, I leave it to you folks what you want to make of him. If you don't want him to have the same face as Alasdair, that's perfectly fine with me. ;)
IC ~ Chiao Fung sighed and shook his head. "Hatred begets hatred; vengeance begets vengeance; why must we exploit each other endlessly like this? Can there be no end to it -- ever?" [ 09-17-2002, 09:21 AM: Message edited by: K T Ong ] |
Alas Chaio it is the way the world was made, that one to say the least has a temper, ha, he is much like me, if he could only learn to harness it. Now I must head to the liabrary to see if I am right on who this intruder was, I ahve a hunch." Elif's form blurs and then disappears. "Be right Back"
ooc> Like it thus far, let's have some fun. I have no idea where Avy is hideing though. |
Talthus draw his sword and drops it to the ground sticking up. He pulls out a wooden flute with green vines around it and begins to play a tune of great sorrow. A wolf comes over and sits below the tree Talthus is in, next to the sword, and stares out over the horizon.
