Hide in Plain Sight or a *very* high stealth works all sorts of wonders on 14. Berry Fein went in at lvl 23 and walked right past the rust monsters and elementalists. The assassins saw here, of course, and were rather upset. But she was able to get to Jaraos who fought them from his locked jail cell, she freed him (high pick lock is great ;) ) and one of the foe dropped a nice little dagger which was much appreciated.
Berry can sneak around anywhere but she's still no toe-to-toe fighter (well, duh! she's a halfling rogue). Many thanks to a certain other fellow halfling adventurer who aided her in her first defeat of the Commander . |
Halflings Unite!
I should finish off my two halfling builds and bring back a third one so there can be a halfling day on the server. Everyone bring in a halfling and quest down to the Cyrist Fortress Of Prevarication. Okay, so I know a few people will insist on bringing their kender, but that's okay. As long as they stay out of my pockets, I'll be just fine... Besides, exactly how much chaos could a small collection of say six to ten halflings possibly do to a land of dwarves, drow, and dragons? (So said the evil overlord Tszune Fosospohs to his five lieutenants as he was going to crush the small village of ThornyApple Brushes into bloody pastes underneath his armored heel. Well, they did find his boots, at least, but not the rest of him...) |
Count Berry Fein in on that halfling day!
|
Give me a couple of days notice and I'll be there, I'll bring in Marfach D'Oiche - she likes sneaking around with Imp Invis. before giving the bad guys a back-handed surprise with a good old-fashioned stab in the heart.
|
BTW, check the Hand of Bane end room. I redid it, and now it sports a MAJOR new ring EVERYONE will want
|
If it's what I think it is, you should have put it on the Commander on 14, or maybe his boss.
|
Damn, was there with the wizard last night and didn't even think to check the end room out - that's the problem with forgetting that Z keeps making all these changes. Will have to go and do it all over again (and [maybe] call on reinforcements all over again as well, blasted wizard!...ho hum).
|
I went for the ring.
I found that and and other areas better defended than expected. No spoilers but be prepared everyone. |

Warning was given much earlier that more powerful toys were going to be found, and needed. Why is everyone so surprised?
