Well, Nadril has wandered off for a while to look for his family heritage.

I think all the shifters running around Undermountain got him thinking about his roots!

Not sure when he'll be back, but until then "Gods speed, Nadril!"

In the meantime Undermountain will have to deal with the Hollof brothers. :D Yes that's right, Godishnaks brother, Bugdush has arrived, looking for a tasty kobold or two, and perhaps some of the companionship the Godishnak speaks highly of. Be warned though, Bugdush smells worse than Godishnak.

PS: Even though shifters are as common as dirt in Undermountain now, there is only one DragonLord of IW, the original DragonLord, Nadril! :D *sniff* I'll miss you, Nadril, hurry back!

If he doesn't, Amarylis and Bronwyn'll go out hunting for him! Best darned guide they could hope for.

I think the 'toughest boss' is sort of deceptive. I mean, what is 'toughest' depends on what level/class char you're playing at the time! I found the boss Skeleton (lich thingy?) at the entrance to level 3 (from 2) to be MAJORLY tough when I had my lvl 9ish cleric in there! Died a number of times!

Yep, that was ol' Boney, and I have been a part of many battles with that bone gollum. Animal made a reference to some of the epic battles he'd been in in Undermountain, and I'd like to rattle his chain about the first real IW party that tangled with ol' Red. I think if I live to be 100, I will remember that one. Some of the in fight dialog was funny, but not as funny as either animal, or maybe it was CB, the first time the dragon healed itself. It was truly epic, and really fun to be a part of. Thanks for the memory guys/gals.

After some twenty minutes of fighting and chugging healing potions like they were going out of fashion he was finally down to Badly Injured so I thought I'd speed things up by casting a little 'heal' on him.

Imagine the horror of my character when he was actually healed! That's what he gets for having low lore and forgetting that bone golems aren't undead!

LOL I've had that exact same thing happen as well!

Reminds me of a funny story

Back in the old local vault days I saw this uber guy get his arse handed to him by a dracolich.

The guy was complaining because this creature was impossible for him to kill and it never got injured. Turns out this "uber" guy had a onhit HARM spell on his sword. Everytime he hit the dracolich it healed itself from the Harm spell!!

I nearly wet myself laughing at this "uber" looser.

Thats the funniest thing ive ever heard!

RTB and TDC, those are two of the funniest rp stories I've heard in ages! We (hubby and I) laughed for quite a while after reading them!

This was back in the local vault days and we didn't have the uber weapons and armour that's available in Undermountain like we do today.

Anyway, it was my first time down there, but I think a couple of the others had been to see Big Red before so they knew what to expect. So here's a group of tough guys struting around Undermountain like we own the place, just spoiling for a fight when we come upon this angry Red Dragon, who's looking to have a BBQ.

So Godisnak, being the big dumb orc that he is, figures he's the toughest and charges right in, only to be swatted aside with a claw. Well, then he gets all scared stands there like a deer caught in the headlights while Big Red proceeds to lay some serious smack down.

The others come charging in and manage to distract him, and the fights on! There were two or three of us on the front line hacking away, and a couple behind us, healing and throwing spells when they had the chance.

Just when I figured we had him, he goes and casts heal on himself! My jaw must have hit the keyboard. At the point I didn't even know that was possible, here I am swigging away on Critical healing potions and relying on my companions for healing, and now Big Red is once again at Uninjured.

That was probably the single best example of teamwork I've seen to date here in Undermountain and that one moment was worth every penny I've spent on NWN.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking Cloudy was there as well. It was some time ago, I don't think lvl 10 was even finished yet. I'm with Animal though, I can't remember for anything, who was there, but I'm sure there were 5 of us, all from here. It was my first time to see Ol' Red, though I had heard the stories. I said it then, and I'll repeat it now, that is the way a dragon should be, in those days, Red was the perfect example of dragon.
Edit: Maybe it was Legolas, too. I'm thinking it was the first time I'd run into him there.

I think it was before Cloudy's time on Undermountain. You are correct, level 10 only went as far as Big Red.

Now I think about it, I think Legolas was there feeding me healing potions. :D

I'm sure CB can fill in the missing pieces.
