About the credits... Couldn´t Bungleau add a memorandum in his initial post about the people who supplied the answers? You do have a way with words Bungleau ;) ! If that´s ok we´re short another problem lol.

Typically August is a crazy month in which it seems very hard to get thing completed! (at least for me! ;) )

What are we doing? What do we still need to do to get the new thread actually up and running??

I put the credits for each thread at the bottom of each tip. They are currently listed in a bullet list format. This makes the whole post longer than it needs to be. If someone could please edit that into a single row, that would be great. And I think we are done unless you find that I made an error somewhere. Did anyone ever check it over to see if I made any techie errors?

Other than that, I thought it was done. It is still my feeling that we should post it as is, and we can edit it if and when we decide on new things.

I emailed the file to 3 people. One of those dear people made a minor edit changing something within the Win XP section, I believe. We need to take that edition, make the minor changes to the credits section and then we should be able to post it.

This has sat idle for a long time. Lets get that file out there so people can use it!!!

Okay, I'm finally weighing in again 'cause I've tried to hide for too long.

Detah, I like what you've done in organizing the text. Will this be one giant post, or multiple smaller ones? I think for simplicity's sake it might be better to make multiple smaller posts (say, one for each major section in the index). That way, if the knowledge base ends up growing, we won't have to worry about someone trying to download a page the size of the Library of Congress. Instead, they might get multiple pages...

Then, within each section we could have just one reference to all the people who contributed to that particular area. That should clean things up a bit as well.

How about this: I'll track down my latest introduction post, and recreate it. Then WillowIX, you can add the index post to that one. After that's in, Detah, you can add your stuff, or we can share the load on that (since it's a wee bit longer).

Look for old flotsam to resurface shortly...

I´ve added the index! I also added my layout of an answer post (6. Windows Issues). The 6) entries are fully working in the index and mini index! Feel free to try them out lol :D :D
