I would just like to point out Six, that you get absolutely no benefit from having an INT score above 19 for the purpose of scribing spells.

The only benefits of more than 19 INT is for lore and resisting mindflayers. im not 100% sure you even get the lore component when it is gained by drinking potions.

19 INT = 95% chance to scribe spell
24 INT = 100% chance to scribe spell
25 INT = 150% chance to scribe spell (handy when trying to scribe spells of a higher level than you can currently cast, which carries a 10%-per-level penalty)
