That is not correct to a degree Offspring.

The Mortals taken from the Forgotten Realms Handbook
Forging an alliance with Myrkul, Bhaal kidnapped the mortal wizard Midnight and discovered one of the Tablets of Fate. But at the Boareskyr Bridge the mortal Cyric killed Bhaal with the Sword Godsbane (the avatar of Mask).

I'm partial to dalimations, cause they look so unique. I've never heard of any of these other breeds you guys keep mentioning. In fact, they kinda sound like...

wait, oh my bad. Damn dyslexia...

I'm not familiar with the Forgotten Realms Gods, I've only ever read Dragonlance... and they only ever mention the main 3 gods in those books. So I'm not too sure about my fav...

That's not the point, Cyric killed Bhaal, end of story. You don't go into a fight with a kobold with a short sword +1, and immediately after winning shout "The sword, it won!", and everyone within the area of the now-deceased kobold begin to praise the short sword +1 and perform indian mating rituals.
And if Godsbane is truly the rightful victor, why didn't it ascend to new godhood?

A Short Sword +1 is not a living thing, Mask is! Godsbane was Mask in disguise, so technically Mask is the one who killed Bhaal.

It was the Time of Troubles, Gods were made of flesh and forced to walk the earth. Cyric took advantage of Bhaal's death, thats why he took Bhaal's portfolio.

Cyric slew Leira, goddess of deception and illusions, with Godsbane and absorbed her portfolio. He later broke Godsbane, greatly weakening Mask.

This is why Cyric is so much more powerful than Mask, this is why Mask did not become a greater god when he returned to Pandamonium.

What the hell are you talking about?

Add: What I'm saying is, yes Cyric killed Bhaal, but technically Mask is the one that made him fall.

combination of sources actually, the module Vecna Reborn, the book of artifacts, encyclopedia magica, DMG, and various readings of greyhawk material.

and yes Tyr is also called the maimed god.

Book of Artifacts, yea it would be under the Hand/Eye of Vecna naturally. Tell me, would it be in Unearthed Arcana?

Edit: Spelling

I sent you an email with some more specific info, you can also look under the Sword of Kas, I'm not sure if Unearthed Arcana has info on Vecna, I can look, I'm pretty sure the Greyhawk Adventures hardback book does (I only have the mini-version)

As long as you acknowledge that Cyric killed Bhaal, all is well.
