No thank you. I'll keep playing and stick with the clan, but lack the drive to keep a clan together myself.

Hivetyrant 02-28-2005 04:48 AM

Well, if I have time I might, but im worj=king now, and wont be online as much :(

I'll try to catch you on MSN sometime then.

armageddon272 02-28-2005 03:32 PM

My character's pretty powerful, but hasn't progressed very far into the game. I'll think about it if the option is still there.

dplax 02-28-2005 03:43 PM

The option is still there. I haven't spoken with Hivetyrant yet. The thing is just that I don't have the time to play two characters and manage a clan, so one thing had to go and I need the two characters, one to play with and the other to supply him. I'll still be in the clan and I'll assume the responsibilities of getting the extra-spicies, I just don't have time for all the administration stuff.

Hivetyrant 03-01-2005 03:45 AM

Gah, well I cant get on to MSN yet, but when I can I'll have a chat ;)

armageddon272 03-01-2005 12:47 PM

What exactly is the job for the clan leader?

armageddon272 03-01-2005 01:05 PM

So, if Dplax is resigning, then who di I give the srumtious reagents etc to?

dplax 03-02-2005 07:12 AM

The job of clan leader is to accept new members, attack other clans, make clan purchases, etc...

And actually after a few days of thinking about it I have decided that I am going to stop the game alltogether since we just have too many projects here at uni for me to be able to play it enough. I'm putting all items into my other clans stash and I'll give all money to your character Armageddon.

From that money you should be able to buy a store in the mall and sell the reagents yourself.

I'll still be looking in maybe once a week so as to train my characters in the clan gyms just in case sometime later I want to play again.

Would you be willing to take clan leadership Armageddon?

armageddon272 03-02-2005 05:08 PM

No prob, and before I read your post I sent you some reagents, can I have some of them back (you can keep some if you need them)?

dplax 03-03-2005 01:20 AM

Sure, I can send all of them back, and at the same time I'll make you the clan leader.

armageddon272 03-03-2005 02:40 PM

Ok, Got evrything. Gonna do some research now that I'm back from school. And I've made my announcement already.

armageddon272 03-03-2005 04:45 PM

Alright, after about an hour of staring at the screen, I've done my first good deed to the clan. I cleanned the junk (Well, some of it anyways) from the clan hoard, researched how much people are buying for, and put it the the IW clan store. Business is booming. I also switched the clanedar to the Boy's of loathing and figure I'll alternate them monthly. Now, I'm going to, as "Thank you for making me you complete ruler" gift, I'm casting 200 turns of Jabanero Saucosphere on all current members.

armageddon272 03-03-2005 08:56 PM

I just got my friend (Now registered member Yelgabnodnarb) to start playing KoL, sign up to the forum, get to level 3, and join our clan. All in one day (with a little help form yours truly) so now we have a pastamancer in the clan.

Hivetyrant 03-04-2005 12:30 AM

Looks like your doing a great job alread armageddon, well done ;)

armageddon272 03-04-2005 02:36 PM

Thanks Hive. It's good to know I'm doing a good job. Hopefully I'll be saying that to you when we finally start our AvP match.

armageddon272 03-04-2005 02:47 PM

Well, It seems the first day of the clan store was a great success. All 200,000 Meat and more have been earned back so we have made a profit. I'm putting the 200,000 back into the clan stash and the remainder (a little more than 100,000) will be either spent on advertising or we can decide as a group. Alright, quick poll: We have plenty of money in the coffer now (Over 300,000) so I figure we should do something with it instead of letting it just stay there. So, I have an otion to do some group training with the money, which, for 9450 Meat, will give each clan member an extra 8-10 either strongness, magicalness, or smarm. I'm thinking we could do a couple of each every week or so. Point/counterpoint? Also, as long as we're investing some money in extra-spicies, does anyone have any suggestions for food we could store up on to compliment Dplax's original idea? I'm thinking elfin shortbread, but that's just me.

TheCrimsomBlade 03-05-2005 01:46 PM

I started playing the game But I just have too many other games I'm Playing already. I have a bunch of junk and meat you guys can have just let me know how to give it to you.

dplax 03-05-2005 02:36 PM

If you're thinking cheap food then you should think about the pizzas. If you are thinking of higher end food then that is either the chow meins or stuff which costs much more. The knob kitchen contains all but one ingredient of the knob sausage chow mein and the last one costs less than 100 per piece. In the other clan where I am every member sacrifices a day of their adventuring to collect ingredients there and then during the rest of the week we eat knob sausage chow meins.

If people are interested my main character can do the cooking of it, or I can just tell you of the ingredients and how to make it.

Bozos of Bones 03-05-2005 05:33 PM

I just emptied all my inventory into the clan stash. Besides there being the best Moxie Hero equipment, there's a few items for anyone. I also emptied my gold in the clan too. Happy playing guys!

armageddon272 03-07-2005 02:34 PM

Woah, thanks Bozos, contributions like that will really help us out as a team.

armageddon272 03-07-2005 08:19 PM

Alright, after much distraction. I managed to gather some ingredients. I put all my knob sausage stir fries, and basic ingreds into the stash with the few dry noodles I was able to find. Apparently as a sauceror I can't cook it upso I ask the aid of a pastamancer to make us some food please.

Hivetyrant 03-07-2005 10:17 PM

Im sure I have read it already, but can someone remind what advantages I have as an accordian thief? I want to do something usefull for the clan and I dont know where to start :(

armageddon272 03-07-2005 10:56 PM

I always thought that accordian thieves and disco bandits made the best cocktails, or maybe my scources are screwed up (yes, I have scources). Dplax, care to enlighten us on the subject?

Legolas 03-08-2005 01:23 AM

I can conjure up 3 noodles per day, so I'll try to remember.

dplax 03-08-2005 01:47 AM

Accordion Thieves can cast the best buffs in the game. I've never heard about a class being better than another in creating cocktails though. It's definately possible, but my short mixing carrier didn't go further than making 200 extra-spicy bloody marys for the clan.

Hivetyrant 03-08-2005 05:03 AM

Hmm, I might experiment with them.... I have alot of skills....

Hivetyrant 03-08-2005 05:48 PM

Ok, from now on, if you message me, I can cast buffs on you, provided that I have enough MP, and I dont use MP very often myself so I should.
Here are the Skills I know so far.... And I wont know any more untill I get some money.

Hoojiwat's Hymn of Healthiness
This song makes you (or another player) feel healthy, increasing maximum HP.

The Moxious Madrigal
Hearing this song will fill you (or somebody else) with great Moxie

Cletus's Canticle of Celerity
Upon hearing this song, you (or somebody else) will begin to move very quickly, and with improved combat reaction times.

The Polka of Plenty
This song will fill you (or somebody else) with greed, and make more Meat drop from monsters in combat.

Jackasses' Symphony of Destruction
This horrible song will make whoever hears it very angry. And anger, in this case, will correspond with increased melee damage

The Ode to Booze
This is the best song ever. Whoever hears this song will gain a remarkable ability to drink, and will gain more adventures from alcoholic beverages.

Now, the last two are very costly on my MP, and I wont be able to cast them very often untill I get a higher mysticality score, so dont ask for them too often ;)

dplax 03-08-2005 06:30 PM

My main character is a pastamancer. I'll cook the stuff together, but I need chef-in-the-box ingredients (chef's hat, spring, box, disembodied brain, smart skull). I'll do it now to help the clan, but those chef-in-the-boxes cost a lot.

armageddon272 03-09-2005 11:20 AM

Well, if it'as for the clan I can sacrifice a little dough for it. Check your messages.

And Hive, if your MP gets low so fast, I can send you over some knob goblin seltser or a bean bag chair for you campsite.

armageddon272 03-09-2005 11:41 AM

Dplax, you said your other clan sacrificed a day each week to gathering ingredients for chow mein? The idea sounds good. I'm spending today gathering ingredients for the clan. If we all did that, then I could spend the rest of the week gathering the same ingredients to sell in the mall. Are pastamancers tho only class that can make the chow meins? And what level do they have to be at?

dplax 03-09-2005 01:32 PM

Pastamancers are the only ones, who can cook the final stage of the chow meins.

I have no idea of the level requirement.

My main character was lvl 20 when he first cooked. (he's now 22)

EDIT: oh and if you want I can host your sig for you.

armageddon272 03-09-2005 06:25 PM

That would be awesome.

dplax 03-10-2005 04:55 AM

Edited.

armageddon272 03-10-2005 03:04 PM

OK, until we can get more chow mein, I'm setting a limit of two per day. If we all can gather ingredients and get more chow mein, the limit will increase.

armageddon272 03-10-2005 03:14 PM

Oh, and as for the Mr. A I'm selling. If any of you want it, it's in the mall. IW Clan Store

armageddon272 03-10-2005 08:23 PM

OK, the clan is fully supplied with knob sausage chow meins. The limit is 3 per day. I'll be buying some group training so expect some stat raises for the next week or so.

armageddon272 03-12-2005 10:56 AM

Hey, I've got a question. I've recently aquired a Howling Balloon Monkey and I was wondering if any of you knew what it did. In battle all it occasionally does is make squeaking noises. Is that it? And if so, do these noiseshelp in any way?

Legolas 03-12-2005 11:11 AM

Apparently, it needs to be level 10 before doing something along the lines of generating static electricity to shock your enemies. Or so I've read following the link on page 2.

armageddon272 03-14-2005 03:38 AM

OK, I need a bit of assistance. I'm in the Naughty Scorceres's lair and am stuck on a puzzle.

Quote:

You place the digital key in the lock, and open the door to reveal a broom closet. On the back wall there is a plaque with a strange device attached to it.

The words scrawled beneath the strange device read:

10 buttons must ye push
in a sequence I've contrived
but ye wouldn't get it even
if I gave ye thirty lives.

Apparently you need to push ten buttons in sequence...
The options for each button are: Up, Down, Left, Right, A, B.

If anyone know the answer or understands the riddle, cna you PM me a hint? (Don't give away the answe though please).

EDIT: By the way, when i got the answer wrong, it gave this message:

Quote:

That must not have been the proper sequence. Perhaps if you concentrate a little harder, you'll figure it out.
The letters "con" and "tra" in the word "concentrate" were in red. I don't know if this was supposed to be a hint, but if it was I couldn't get it.
