I may not be around again until much later this evening or tonight. I just don't know. There are too many variables to come to a conclusion as to when I may be free.
|
I know the feeling, there's my post now off to meeting's. joy oh joy

description of Yevaud.
He's an elf of medium height (ie short for a human), with the charactaristic slim build and sharp angular features. He has a sword at his back, and twin tomahawks (throwing axes) at his hips, they are well cared for and obviously older than most of the PC's. He wears a loose tunic the color of pine needles in the spring (slightly brighter than the normal pine green, but not much) and the occasional clink of mail can be heard as he moves. A large black panther is tattoed on both cheeks, and on the backs of his hands as well. The panthers are notable for the pair of tentacles that rise off the cat's shoulders and hover menacingly in front of it. His sharp eyes pick out motion, and his eyes are almost constantly darting about, taking everything in, and his voice is a measured whisper that carries across a much greater distance than one would think. |
Great dying post Legolas!
Larry, should I be posting, or do you still take it that I am defending? |
Morgie...Your PM box is full.
I only wanted to say that I know exactly what it is like. ;) |
PM box cleared out, somewhat.
|
I will post tomorrow Larry, when time permits.

Attn. Silt!
You are now the last of the defenders, except for the four guards that are getting ready to play with Nanashi. We all know how that will end, so you are all by yourself, fighting a drow and worrying about the mage in the rear. Good luck! I suggest flying away like the owl did, but you don't have to listen to me. |
Well, I will post in about 7-8 hours, but I have an interesting idea for a post. I'm not sure if it will work, but hey, it could be worth a try. Is it only me left to post this turn? The mage had his chance didn't he? So he can't cast a spell on me, until I make a move?
|
Surprising that the drow is the one issuing threats and gloating when the mage did all the work so far
|
Hey, it's my nature!
And what can I do? If you haven't noticed, I'm completely naked, save a butstrap and a halberd. |
I'm very much trying not to picture that, thank you
|
You know, that's like saying don't picture a rhinocerous with a teacup.
|
ah well such is the life of the rouge, you win some, you lose some Not much I could have done in that situation, I was doomed the moment I set foot in the room, hehe

Updated the hp totals and added in Anarrima and Yevaud
|
I edited my post of the last move where Kynnen rolled to attack against Silt.
Make sure you don't miss it, as it contains an important statement. |
Ooo. This is interesting Larry. Well I know what Silt will do now. Time for some revenge methinks.
|
ATTN: Kynnen...
Using a chart designed to explain fumbles and taking into account what I already posted...you have stumbled for the result of twisting your left ankle. Please note this in your next post. The chart is courtesy of Morgie, who had it on-hand to explain all sorts of fumbles. I am glad to have him as a counselor! |
Hey, I live to serve. BTW the charts work both ways, I'd love to see the Mod Mage sprain a finger due to a fumble while casting a spell. Or see Nanashi hyperextend her tail, lol.

about the fumble, it only drops your movement by half for 1 round (60ft per round instead of 120), after that it's lowered by 12 feet per round, for up to 8 rounds (minutes), and your dex is at -1 for 1 to 4 hours, a minor effect, and mostly an irritation, much like twisting your ankle IRL.

I'm not sure whether Silt's attack shall also fit into the round, so I'm holding back on posting until you can decide on that Larry.
|
I just posted... if it doesn't fit the current round, it'll wait for the next.
And thanks for the explanation, Morgue! |
I won't hold you to explicit rules on that one...it was just for your use to RP with. Whatever you post is fine, I am sure.
|
Sorry dplax. Just hold onto hope...while your spirit resides in that waiting hall before meeting the God of the Dead...that Nanashi comes to collect your corpse to take it home to daddy before she ventures off.
Wow...I am losing all kinds of players around here! Can't we all just get along? |
*Worries that Larry is becoming the new Body Bag King of the forums*
|
I have held alot of titles, here on IW...and not many of them nice ones. I guess "Body Bag King" will just be another addition to a growing list.
|
Just a quick question. Would Silt know that Kynnen was casting bulls strength? Or would he just know he was casting a spell?
|
depends on his skills, if he has arcane knowledge of any sort, ie spellcraft, then he could probably figure it out.
|
Elves do not make it their business on wasting time learning drow.
(Drow, on the other hand do study elven.) You only know that he is chanting about something, but you do not know what. |
Aw shoot. I forgot to mention the ironic twist...at the fact that the drow's twisted ankle is what killed Andrion...because Silt took advantage of the roll of the dice. The 1 that Kynnen rolled to put him out of commission was Andrion's death roll. That is just wierd as hell.

do not let my body concern you, hehe it is what happens when one fights things unseen and charges head first into them.
|
my hard drive is arriving today and my computer should be fixed by tonight. Cyril will post for me again, and hopefully by tomorrow night, I will have my computer all fixed and running and can post after that...
CYRIL PM... :D ..... LARRY!! I blame the Shadow Mage for this!! :D lol.. I lost my spells... (but, I will find them...lol) |
In case there are any disbelief in the roles, everyone should be made aware that I was on MSN with Cyril at the time, checking each roll with him as he walked me through the steps to determine the outcome.
I did not make those rolls up. It really happened that way. And Tao...of course it was the Shadow Mage that ruined your HDD, making you lose your spells. Who else would you have expected? Was there ever any doubt? :D |
Silt: The stairs are too high for you to get to the top in one round. Kynnen would have two rounds to follow you before you reach the top if he chooses...or he can forget this whole thing and leave the castle. If he chooses to chase you, then I have to give him a chance to try to catch up to you...though I am not saying that he would be able to.
Just edit the post to mention how long the climb is, and hold off on reaching the top. We'll decide how fast when we see what Kynnen will do. |
More for Silt, the stairs would take you up four floors, then they grow narrower and the steps stand at an angle. In this bit there are several tripwires, some of them in rather plain sight but most well hidden. In fact the main purpose of the easily spotted ones is to fool the ascender into overlooking the others.
The door is indeed closed and barred. And on reaching the first floor, you may well be distracted by some wailing. Not only that but you'll have to walk around three upturned tables just to be able to continue on upwards. |
