I use these techniques for all my Mages. It literally rains Hell on the enemies. A Mage uses it to great effect, a Sorcerer takes it to a whole new level. |

Hey guys, everybody, look here! Dundee Slaytern is WRONG! What a rare event!
Sorry, Dundee... A bit offtopic, but... Can anybody give me a list of good mid-level offensive/damaging spells for a solo mage from SoA only? FoD is too high-lvl-ish for me still.. [ 09-05-2002, 08:39 AM: Message edited by: TaSSaDaR ] |
And, Lucifer Lord of demons is also mistaken :D The spell's name which protects from weapons of +5 or less enchantment is called Absolute Immunity, not Total ;)

On a side note. I am not amused by the apparent sport that is called "Point out Dundee's mistakes and laugh". Just something I wish to get off my chest. I do acknowledge mistakes, and learn from them, but please let me know in a more constructive way.

OK, Dundee, that was just a joke, which is not going to happen again. You know, you've got an aura of an absolute expert, the one who is always right, and you deserve it. All I wanted to say is that was a rare, very rare event that you are mistaken.
Sorry ;) |
My own little note on the PRATI tactic:
My manual says (it's the beta-version manual, so there may be mistakes; for instance, it doesn't mention the Petrify or Finger of Death effects of Chromatic Orb) that Spell Trap (Level 9, Abjuration) absorbs spells aimed directly at the caster, and restores the equivalent spell value that the caster had previously used. So, would not the height of munchkin-ness be to cast Spell Trap, then Project Image, and have the Image fire a 9th-level spell and a 7th-level (or higher) spell back at the real you? Infinite Timestops, without even casting Wish! |
If that works, then that's just... just... EVIL...
