I oush the darw. Always. Although taht could have been why my first CD drive burnt out...
|
Ever taken a CD rom drive appart?
*watches reaction* Well the motor is generaly not connected directly to the tray these days, they used to be connected by a gearing system, nowadays they are connected by a rubber belt.. So older drives suffer from pushing and pulling (come on, admit we've all pulled somtimes).. Newer drives don't suffer as much, there's still risk but it's reduced.. I put my finger though the CD's center hole and push the button, not only does it save my motor it also keeps me on my toes.. ;) |
I use the button on my PS2 and I push in the tray on the comp

I just had to open this thread purely because of the title... i was like "wtf could this be about?"
I push. Too lazy to do otherwise. |
I push on this computer, however all other computers I tap the button. I think this one just has my hand moulded to the front of it :D

I'm a big pusher of everything other than my CD player... It's got one of those triple-disk trays and when it slides out it's a bit dodgy, like it's slightly too heavy to be hanging out that far. Sometimes I have to support it from underneath when I put a CD on it, just in case it snaps. So I use the button for that.
