Firefox exists to satisfy its users, and to provide a standards compliant browser. If you look around, there are lots of programs like this: Open Office, GNU Ghost Script, the GIMP, GAIM, Linux, etc. In most cases, they are as good as their proprietry counterparts, in many cases they are better. Don't be put off by the fact that you don't have to pay - enjoy it.
