Powergamers are people that play for the power they get their character.

Someone that just stand in the same room all day killing the monsters that spawn there because they give good loot/xp is a powerleveler.

Those people consider their possible action based on what it can get them.

We all do it to a degree, but what we refer as powergamer are people that do that 8+ hours a day every day.

There's nothing wrong with that, unless you can't accept that you're not the strongest one.
