Toast with sunnyside eggs... Delicious. Especially if you brake open both yokes and scoop it up with the toast. Greatest taste ever. Now I want eggs, but its 3:50 in the morning and i have to get up at 8:30. Life isn't fair.

Nutella! I keep meaning to try some of that but never remember to pick it up when I see it. Only one local place seems to carry it. Thanks for the reminder, Hiero!

Oh and if you like sweet toast, Illumina, you might like to try the Bigelow flavored honeys on it...mmmm...drool... they have cinnamon, orange, lemon, vanilla, currant etc. It's quite good on toast or toast's cousin the English Muffin.

What's the difference between an English Muffin and a scone, anyway? The English people that I have talked to say that they've never seen anything like an English muffin.

Hmmm... the technical difference, I'm not quite sure. The scones I've seen tend to resemble large biscuits, often triangle- or cone-shaped, and they tend to be very dry. English Muffins resemble hockey pucks (and depending on who cooks them, taste like them too :D ).

I don't like scones. I really like English muffins, especially in the form of English muffin pizza :D

The difference?

English muffins are only fit to be in eggs benedict and other similar dishes (not sure about the pizza thing, but I'll bow to Bungleau's voice of experience). They're too flimsy and white-breadish for me otherwise.

Scones are great when they are warmed in the oven (or toaster, or toaster oven) and served with jam.

The similarity?

Both are vile when prepared improperly. Particularly scones. But they're extremely tasty when done right.

I've had homemade scones and .....melt in your mouth YUMMMMMMM! But I'm willing to do the English muffin thing if that's what's available....they're pretty good with honey or jam or marmalade on them.

I prefer sourdough or wheat English muffins... less "white-breadish". And I dislike white bread for the same reason.

They're easy for pizza -- open the muffin up, spread some prepared pizza sauce, add cheese and whatever toppings you like, and bake at 400 for about ten minutes or until the cheese is nicely melted. The perfect thing when no one can agree on toppings... :D

I had a scone last year at the Galleria. It was at some chocolate place so it was sweet, but they told me they had plain ones, too. In England, is a muffin like we say it, I.e., like a cupcake but not iced?
