this is where I wind up, tell me if it does it for you, cuz I did a run on my spyware killer, and this is still happening

andrewas 07-08-2003 05:35 PM

Whatever it is, it isnt in spybotSD threat list and google turns up no info. Could be a new thing.

Ziroc 07-08-2003 05:35 PM

Nope, no hacker. I keep my ports locked tight, and monitered 24/7.

It COULD be spyware, and your program just isn't updated to catch it. Heck, it could be a background java app.

Hit ctrl-alt-del (if you run XP) and look at all your 'processes' do a screenshot, and let us see them. I can easily point out which one is doing this.

Yeah it's lately just extrmely slow...sluggish like, and pages don't usually load due to time-outs.

Forum is very slow on my end as well. No error messages, just slow.

Suspicious processes:

bargains.exe - spyware
keenvalue.exe - spyware
points manager.exe - spyware
P2P networking.exe - either part of a P2P prog (kazaa or similar) or spyware
gamechannel.exe - from wild tangent games. might be spyware
Free RAM XP pro... - possibly dodgy,
RoboTaskbarIcon - kill
BackWeb-887648... - Kill this for sure

You can generaly find info on an unknown file by typing its name into google.

Or this site has a large list of known processes, should be useful:

OH, and Ziroc, I saw this yesterday and again just now.

CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:

Can't open perl script "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\tgeweb\ubb\cgi-bin\ultimatebb.cgi": No such file or directory

Few minutes ago I went to Refresh and got a white screen, could see on my taskbar "connecting to site". Didn't know I had disconnected!
