Have tried but don't smoke. Don't remember my first alcoholic beverage ( it was probably a sip of beer) first time I "remember" getting drunk was at the age of 15. Nowadays I don't drink regurlarly and, when I do, with moderation.

Edit: Oh and I just had two beers (hence any possible typos) and I starting work 7 a.m. Live hard and die young as I always say. :D

Tasted my first alcohol on my eighteenth, I think; not much of a regular drinker, though.
And I never smoked a single cigarette in my life, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I've never smoked. Being born in a Mediterranean country my first taste of alcohol was at the tender age of 8, I actually began to like it when I was 13 years old (before then I had only drunk it in social events) :D

Who gives a crap what people think.. don't do something because others do it.. do it because YOU WANT TO!

I VERY rarely (once ever year maybe) have a bacardi and coke or Absolut vodka, but that is it..

I have never smoked (tried it though) and I certainly don't smoke now - I can't stand it. I probably tried alcohol around my 15th-16th, but I have never been stupid when it comes to drink and frankly don't see how it could possibly be a "badge of honour" or status symbol for some people. I find drunkenness completely unattractive and especially loathe people who endanger other lives while drunk (people who become aggressive for instance, or drunk driving). I'm not at all against enjoying a drink every now and then, my boyfriend and I have a bottle of wine with dinner maybe two or three times a month and when I go out and feel like it, I'll drink alcohol. But thankfully I know when to stop.
Note: I'm not trying to be disparaging to people with an alcohol problem, I can only sympathise with that, and I realise how hard it is to beat.
But I do have mixed feelings on the matter because a close relative has/had a serious problem with drink and it had an effect on my life. So I do look down on young people who drink because others do, or because it is cool or because they think they have more fun that way...
