No doubt.

After all it is his place, he can do what he wants.

I was just curious if there was more going on than was what apparent in just that short post. I guess sarcasm is a bannable offense. :(

I guess I let a lot more roll off my back, that's all. :D

Now I am realy confused. Why would anyone make 2 accounts just so that they could start a flame war with themself?? Sounds like people have some real issues with reality out there.

How about those that have LAN, thus their IP is the same, will their account be called duplicate and be banned?

Galadria, Piestrider and I all post from this computer, and Ziroc has never seemed to mind. I think it is use of his space and time to play inane jokes and flame people that hack him off.

On another message board elsewhere I knew this member who very often flame-baited others by using subtle but highly abrasive language and making others the subject of derision and ridicule whenever they offered the least opportunity for him to do so -- as when they sometimes posted a thread talking about being dumped by girlfriends etc. He might reply: "You would only have yourself to blame for your extreme lack of intelligence in dealing with the opposite sex." The moderator on that message board has not been able to do anything with him so far, AFAIK -- because technically speaking he hasn't broken any rules. It's almost as if he's playing with the rules.

I wonder how he'll fare here at Ironworks.

Yes, I'd like to know that as well. A link is OK AFAIK, and that's all I have here, but on other forums I do use a banner. And some people use banners with a link to their forum/website here... Smoothbrain and Vaskez come to mind... maybe Vic does it as well, not sure. I didn't think there was any problem with that.

Lord Shield 06-26-2002 07:17 AM

I hope not. Twas I helped Sio set up her sig. didn't know at the time it was taboo :(

Melusine 06-26-2002 07:21 AM

Yes, but in her case, it's obvious that the banner wasn't the only reason for deletion.
I'm just curious what the general policy on banners is, as I know more IW members have them.

I used to have a banner ad in my signature, then I received a PM by Ziroc to remove it. I did so, and replaced it with a text link instead. No worries on my part.

Frankly, I think the Ironworks Forums have more pluses than minuses. Count the blessings and try not to focus too much on the negative.
