Too bad about your nucks Djinn. I like their style of hockey. However, I think the Flames will surprise the Red Wings as well. I don't think they'll win but htey will certainly put up a fight! Ahh who cares, the Leafs have already won what mattered! :D I believe this smiley is in order http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...s/new/king.gif |

Another 1st for Calgary in 15 years. The win last night not only gave the Flames first blood in the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal series, it's the first time they've won an opener since the 1989 Stanley Cup final of 1989.
The Detroit is going down, and you guys thought I was joking when I said Calgary will win the cup. :D On another note pubs and sports bars in the area have been doing really well since Calgary made the playoffs this year. Beer sales are up!!! :D [ 04-23-2004, 11:03 AM: Message edited by: pritchke ] |

Ugh...go San Jose! Go Tampa! |
Pritchke - I'm guessing you're a Flames fan.
I've been a Sharks fan for many years now. Care to wager on the winner in this series? I've got to give props to Sutter but I will make this prediction - SHARKS IN 6 - unless Kipprusoff gets god-like - then Sharks in 7 ;) |
Unfortunately I have nothing to wager but I will make a prediction.
Flames in 6 over Sharks then in the finals (Drum roll) Flames in 6 over the Lightning I think Kipprusoff will continue to shine, and Sutter should get coach of the year. History says otherwise as it defies the odds but the odds have been tossed out the window. http://www.nhl.com/columns/kreiser/flames050704.html [ 05-07-2004, 02:41 PM: Message edited by: pritchke ] |
This series should be a good one. They're seriously, IDENTICAL on paper. The one superstar on each team (Iginla, Marleau), the hot, underrated goalie, the underrated defense core, the speed, the hard-working. This should be great. And nothing pleases me more than having Hatcher watch the WCF on TV. :D

Has any team left won the Stanley Cup more than once? The only one that might've is Philly...
