overall, one thing i truly belive about WW2 is that though the Nazi were evil and sometimes brutal, Soviet was worse.

Lets make a distinction here, in general yes the Nazis were a lot worse then the Soviet army. The entire german army? No. But the Nazi's and the crimes they committed during the extent of the war? Most defenitley.</font>[/QUOTE]Nazi's were worse than the Soviet Army...for the most part yes, I would put them on the same level as Stalin though he is rated as the number 2 all time mass murderer (of his own people and others) right behind Pol Pott I believe (sorry if I spelled that wrong).
Germany, had they not attacked Russia would most likely have taken britain and africa pretty quickly (had they devoted Barbarosa's resources to it). Once they did that, things could have ended very differently, only the grace of god or luck or what have you caused a brilliant strategy to be abandonded and the falacy of a two front war taken up. In the mean time Russia was busy putting their best leaders to death and loosing even more men to an outstanding fighting defense by the Finnish people.
