My favorite characters are a druid tank or a paladin. I tend to play pvm. the few times i've dueled they tended to be fairly even.

After playing Paladins and Necromancers through the game twice each I'm planning on creating an Amazon but I don't know what spells and equipment to go for. Could you guys give me some help?

depends on what you use the amazon for, I am not a super good amazon player, I mostly rely on reflex rather than equipment.

as for my case, you want maxed guided arrow (Bow and Crossbow Skill), with 5 points muti-shot (B&C skill), 1 to 5 points piercing attack (passive skill), 1 point Valkery.

and if you plan on using javalin, get maxed Lighting Fury

equipment:
a good bow/crossbow/javalin is a must. with LESS THAN one soj, you can get a popular bow/crossbow/javalin, I cannot remember the name of the crossbow right now... mmm, what was it called? you can get that crossbow for 1 soj. remember the enhanced damage listed on that crossbow MUST BE at least 180%

as for javalin, go for titans, (170% ed A MUST), for about one soj. personally I can get those two items for 1soj, but you gotta know how to trade [img]tongue.gif[/img]

for armor, many armors are suited for a amazon, so use those ones with +dex and ias or +ed. if you want mf item, use a socketed armor, whats it called? Leaf?

for helm, my personal preference for low level equip is Tal Rasha's helm, its got +10 dex/str AND duel leech. very good. if you have something like 20 perf gems, trade them for a Valkery Helm (+1 skill), or 1 soj for a Valkery Helm of +2 skill. but I would stick to Tal's Helm. unless you are rich, in that case you wouldnt be here asking for strategy, but get a Vampire Gaze

glvoe, there is a unique glove that does +350% dmg to boss. cheap item, get it if you can, very good for hunting bosses. and I prefer a rare glove over others. mine had +2 bow/crossbow skill, and +7 dex and other useful stats.

boots, war traveler, or anything that is fast AND +dex

anyways, there are too much options for an amazon, and my list are just for a low level amazon's choices. (by low, I mean low level equipment. you can be level 80 and still use the listed items above)

Bah! I didn't like the choice of skills for the assassin. The Shadow skills were the only ones I liked.

The only dueling i do is pally dueling. This is my third pally i have a retired lvl 90 pally from classic up to now. I have a FOH (fist of heavens) pally which can just about tank any sorc even a merc Dr sorc is no match. Right now i am currently working on my third melee pally as of now he is lvl 82 his str is 156 that is with items. His dex is like 140 or less not sure. His vita is 260 at the moment it will be around 300 by lvl 90. He has 1287 life so far. His items include a cruel mythical sword 311% 3 socketed/w (a eth rune a 40/15% jewel and a Lo rune 20% to deadly strike. His helm is a vamp gaze 7/8/19% with a 15ias jewel in it. Shield is a 190% enhanced defence zakarum socketed with 15% ias jewel. Armor is 300% shafty with a 39% ed jewel with 9 to max damage. Gloves are lava goutes. Ammy is highlords. Boots are gore riders. Rings are a raven frost 20 dex. And a rare ring with 8% life leach. Charms are 3 combat and 3 offencive aura. and then 8 small 20 life charms the rest 5% Fhr small charms. So far i can tank about have of the people i fight. I need to get a cham gaze so i can use another leech ring and i need a cruel mythical of quickness at least 280% with 3 socket (Lo Lo eth) then i should be able to even handle most of the 160 max and 160 ias armor users.
