There's one thing though what most aren't noting: Keldorn's family business? Are ye all really so heartless and let Maria to be imprisoned and Keldorn's life ruined? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif He had it messed up before already, being either too loyal to his Order and being too blind towards his family. Least I could do, being the benevolent person I am (sort of), was to help to clear things up. Once that was done, I didn't have the heart to call him away from his family and ruin our efforts.. I thanked him for his help and relieved him from my service. I can finish my 'quest' without him, it's my life's work, I don't really have to ruin his life because of that http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

So yes, while Keldorn is good, he ain't there forever to stay. At one moment he/you will have the choice - ruin a family or earn the respect and thanks of the old paladin. I chose the last http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Acutally if you wait a while you can go back to his house and he will be there waiting for you and you can take him in and will ruin nothing http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

drop Anomen and take Valygar
with gauntlets of ogre power and two katanas is best fighter

welcome to the board the both of you... IMHO i would take keldorn mainly because he has the best dispel magic you could ask for http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif The Carsomyr is nice, but his dispel magic is a lifesaver

I must defend Anomen here! Here's why -

He can reach up to level 22 by the endgame, which is a pretty high point.

His poor stats are irrelevant if you trick him out properly - he just needs Gauntlets of Dexterity and a Belt of Strength.
Besides, his power lies mainly in his huge repertoire of Cleric spells. Who needs a strength belt when he can repeatedly cast Call Holy Might?? Who needs a high dexterity when the enemy is powerless against your Sanctuary?

Your main enemies in the game are mostly Undead and Demonic. A Cleric has several natural advantages- Holy Smite and the incinerating Holy Bolt are great, especially when Anomen gets up past level 20. He can take a Dragon out by himself.
In the endgame, you'll see the advantages of this. When facing lesser Undead, he can Turn them, as well.

Not to underestimate the natural uses of Clerical magic in combat - Heals, Rezzing and Restoration are just priceless.

His main drawback is his (rather dull) Quest, and his personality problems. But if you think he's sickening, just try Haer'Dalis. *puke*
After he began to spout poetry at Aerie, I had my monk do him with a poisoned magic ninja-to.
"A solid hit!" was the word as chunky bits of bard went spinning. Yeah!
