Spoilers
. . . . . . . . . My main character is a swashbuckler dual-wielding Foebane +5 (+6 against extrta-panar beings, shapeshifters and undead), Damage 2D4+5, and Purifier +4 (20% magic resistance/extra +4 against chaotic evil beings), 2D4+4 damage. He has the whirlwind ability, so with those two swords equipped, if he were to hit on 10 attacks (not common but possible), he could do 130-250 damage in a single round. If he strikes ten times against a chaotic evil extra-planar being, shapeshifter or undead, he could do 180-300 damage in a single round. He also carries, for varying situations, Usuno's Blade +4 (10% chance 2D10 electrical damage), 1D8+4 damage; Yamato +4 (+1 to AC) 1D8+4 damage; Celestial Fury +3 (shocking blow/5% chance 20 electrical damage), Damage 1D10+3; and Equalizer +0-4 depending on alignment (immunity to charm and confusion), damage 1D8+0-6 again depending on alignment. Without Yamato equipped, his AC is -14, so using Yamato is not really necessary. And being in Watcher's Keep, Usono's Blade is not as useful as Foebane. Equalizer is useful against Illithid. Any other swords I should keep an eye out for? |
Kl'glorath+4: Buy from Carras in the Smugglers' Cave in Amkethran. Right? Well, that's what everybody says: The folks at Ironworks, the folks at PlanetBaldursGate and the folks at GameBanshee.
Except that it's not there. Not in my game, anyway. I content myself with Hangard's Axe of Hurling and the Firetooth Dagger+3 all the way into ToB, and Poof! No kickass Throwing Axe. And, being that I'm a CN Elven Fighter/Mage, I don't have any other good options for 1-handed ranged weapons. Should I just hack the thing in? |
