<font color="white">I got CHAOTIC NEUTRAL. I suppose this means I can be any alignment at any given time? Hmmm....kinda like an "All of the Above" type. :D </font color>

Gangrell 01-08-2003 03:49 PM

Hmmm, I've a lawful good air mage, gold dragon

WOW...

Mirac Honorguard 01-08-2003 04:04 PM

Good test, I always seen myself of Neutral good but just a tad closer to lawfull.

Law: 5
Chaos: 2
Good: 5
Evil: 0

Your alignment: Lawful Good

Chaos vs law amount, makes it not fully lawful good

I've always been a goody goody

EDIT : Dragon Test

As the Earth's life-giving skin, your Dragon color is... TAN

Your Inner Dragon is the true draconic magic-user. Tans have been all but forgotten in popular literature, but that suits them just fine. They're very shy and spend most of their time hidden in impassable mountain valleys. Every so often they get a little brave, and use their shape-shifting ability to blend in with society. Given a choice, however, Tans still much prefer to be left to their own devices. You like to spend time devising new and interesting spells and potions, and counting and hoarding your gigantic treasure. Your favorable attributes are longevity, security, magic, and reverence for life. To top it off, your breath weapon is a curious mix of Fire and Air. Just tell folks to watch out, as a Tan you've got a seriously short temper!

:D ow and Im earth mage

The test is complete bollocks!

I get equal good and evil choices, does that necessarily make me neutral?

Hmm, I am a pretty caring soul who likes to help others, but I do not believe that this makes me a better person and believe that all things exist to be desecrated and hurt. Both are pretty extreme viewpoints.

Is a person with a strong belief in evil and a strong desire for good neutral? I don't think so!

The mage test gave a slightly better picture. I could imagine myself as a void mage (or alienist), if I possessed arcane powers that is.

Yes, but I still don't think that two goods + two evils necessarily makes neutral. The same goes for chaotic and lawful sentiments.

I don't see good, evil, law and chaos as mathematical +'s and -'s.

That's the number one problem I'm having with this test.
The second is that there is no neutral choices.
The third problem is that there is two few questions.
The fourth is that many of the questions are a bit too obvious.

<font color="red">Ok then, try these, although they aren't directly DnD related, they are definitely more accurate in other senses...</font>

Sazaku, to close a font tag, (to change color) the tag line is < / font > not < / color >

Here is a better more thorough alignment test (though it can still be misleading):

http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.a...nd/dx20001222b

And here is a cool character test that includes alignment too:

http://irulethe.net/~neppyman/dndwho/index.html

(I consider the last one the best).

.
.

Rant: A weakness in the alignment concept.

While many are able to identify with the concept of good, evil, law and chaos (once they accept that chaos should not be understood mathematically as randomness) there is still a slight problem:

What determines alignment: What you feel, what you do or what you believe.

Let's take me as an example: It brings me great satisfaction to help others and it hurts me to hurt other people. I instinctively feel obligated to defend the oppressed and the "underdogs". All things that would characterise good alignment.

But due to sloth apathy and depression I rarely do anything for anyone. Surely I do my best not to step on other's feet, but I am not the one actively extending my hand to help either. All in all comfortably neutral.

As much as I desire to help others and is tormented by acknowledging the suffering in the world I do not regard my feelings as more than ficle and simple entertainment. Callousness is for me the greatest virtue in a world that exists to be raped. The quest for goodness has no intrinsic value although it is fun to pursue (which gives it some purpouse) and in the end everything exists to be perverted into nightmare versions of itself. The truly blessed is the one who is ready to sacrifice himself as well as others, but who have also realised that nothing of value could possibly amount from his actions. As you can see my belief is surely anchored in evil.

Good by heart, neutral by act, evil by belief: What alignment am I?
