I have not had any emails from this person for two days. I feel I should report something, though, just in case.

It's a digital camera with a docking station, memory card, manuals and cables. I'm only asking $55 for the lot, so I'm not desperate to sell it.

I'm not sure if that sort of thing is easy to get there.

This is the shipping address I was given:

22 Olisaro qrts Ijapo Estate
City;Akure
State:Ondo
zip:23434
Country:Nigeria

O RLY?...

I'll take it off your hands. You take Paypal? :D

Hmm...we got the same email. Okay, Nigerian scams have been trying to get me since '86.

I believe in this scam (since there is no way they can scam you with Western union, I think they use that to "up" your confidence that this is not a scam). If they are willing to do Paypal, then what happens is that they buy stuff (probably to a non-confirmed address), then they the owner, state it wasn't them ordering, and paypal takes back your money (highly unlikely this is what they are doing).

Most Nigerian scams will come up with an excuse as to why they can't do western union (safest way) or Paypal, and want to send you a third party bogus "certified" check (or fake money order), which is usually for a higher amount, then ask you to western onion the difference back to them and ship the item. Your bank advances you the money, and in 7-21 days, when the bank finds out the check/money order is bogus, they take the money from your account, and you lost the money you wired to them, and your item.

All these Nigerian scams are a form of advanced fee fraud, and with the bogus checks/money orders they are just more complex, because it looks like you actually received your money, but you did not.

Thanks for the welcome! Not really sure how you would report them (someone with a yahoo address can probably help with that), but they are probably already onto their next email address.

Well, a little overcast today, but around 57, so although it is not "warm" it is quite pleasant, especially considering the temperatures (30's) we have been getting. Although Friday it went up to like 67....I was happy!

I see you guys are around 42 today....sigh.... :xmas2:

Uhh, we're metric here in Canada. ;)

I know Niagara hit 20 on that day. We are supposed to get to 15 by Friday. Cold today though..
