(wow number three questions seem to be my lucky number )

I'm pretty easy going with tunes, but the stuff that really does it for me falls into the vast category of electronica. Not that i like everything in that genre - some of it is shite. I used to be a real club head but i never did keep up with the myriad of names for all the little sub-genres that pop up and disappear along the way (waste of time, if you ask me).

I was, and am, a big Sepultura fan, but try as i may, very little in that genre grabs my attention anymore. Sepuls always was in a class of its own.

I am very much against pop. There's nothing wrong with popular music (indeed, something must be right with it if it's popular) but somewhere along the way, big business had a bastard child with a talentless bimbo and spawned the pop genre. Legitimate, genuinely talented musicians have been suffering ever since.

Erm, 4. ;) I'm definitely a chocolate chip man. With ten-times RDI of choc flavoured Ice Magic. And Milo! Yeah! Did i mention i like chocolate?

Ice cream is a once-a-month indulgence with me. Needless to say, when i eat ice-cream, it's less about the ice cream and more about whatever good stuff i can chuck on top of it. The ridiculously expensive Tim-Tam, Crunchie, Mint Slice etc biscuit inspired ice creams are also good. (With a little Ice Magic ;) )

I think there is one last question to be asked? So..

5. What was your favourite book as a child and why?

I think it was a game called Alley Cat where you were a kitten and had to get past levels like eating food out of dogs' bowls or catching fish in a bowl or getting things off a bookshelf without big cats attacking you. It was fun!
OMG Best game ever! Haha I sucked at that game. Hrmm.. now I'm kind of eager to find that game again..

P.S. count me in for this game

Hmm, tough one. The Redwall series of books by some french dude (forget name) had me enthralled when i was about 13 or 14. Ian Livingston DIY adventure books were also good. A long time before that it was Enid Blighton (sp?) and before that still it was a collection of Aesop's fables. (though i remember being quite disturbed by Aesop's animal characters dying in just about every fable. For those that don't know, Aesop was a slave around about Pythagoras' time and at the heart of each of his stories was a moral. Never cry wolf, look before you leap etc.)

Wow, that's bringin' back memories! I'll have to see if my folks have still got that old book. Probably explains why i'm so disturbed by (and hopelessly drawn to) Happy Tree Friends.. ;)

Oh, and Alley Cat was an awesome game for its time. I was good at it up until "Tom Cat" rank. After that, it was just too fast.

Ok, so far our answerers have been:
Aelia Jusa
ZFR
Illumina Drathiran'ar
Robertthebard
Shadowhound
Hivetyrant
Bungleau
Machinehead
Sever

I can tell Lauren's just itchin' for 5 ( ;) ) but in the interests of fairness across the board (and the globe, as it were) i think we need more than three nations in the mix. Let's hear from Madman next.

Bungleau 07-18-2006 07:30 AM

Keeping in the spirt of short questions..
Animal house or Caddyshack.

Aelia Jusa 07-19-2006 05:39 PM

I'll just ask two questions to keep it flowing...

4. Biggest meal you've ever eaten?

5. Favourite relative and why?

Madman-Rogovich 07-19-2006 08:05 PM

3. That is a tough one, think I'd have to go with Caddyshack sheerly for Chevy's performance :D

4. Biggest meal? A good madras, several chicken pakoras, poppadoms, peshwari nan, shiska rice and a good few pints of Kingfisher to wash it down

5. Hmmm probably a tie between my Mum and my Brother, tho seeing as my Mum and I have never actually come to blows she would probably be the favourite :D

Okay it seems indeed that Lauren is due some questions lets hear 'em

Sever 07-20-2006 12:23 AM

1. Is there a non-essential item that you can't stand to leave home without? If so, what is it? And why?

*rubs chin* hmm no I think everything I take with me is essential (wallet and mobile phone)... although even if I just go for an afternoon stroll I just HAVE to take my mobile phone and wallet with me... I take them everywhere because I'm afraid if I have an accident and I'm unconscious and I don't have ID with me they can't contact my family (that's where the wallet comes in) and if someone starts stalking me or my family needs to contact me (that's where mobile comes in).
But technically no, everything I take with me are essential.

2. I guess my position is FOR Bundy Wars... although I've never been to any, but they sound like fun. You'd think I'd at least been to one considering I live in Bundaberg lol.

3. I'm more into myspace then youtube... at one stage I was on youtube everyday but then just lost interest in it.

Lauren 07-22-2006 02:25 AM

Hmm I think the next answerer shall be toot033

Lucern 07-22-2006 02:41 AM

Alright Mr. toot033...does your name have special significance?

toot033 07-22-2006 09:16 AM

It's a combination of my nickname from college ( TooTall) and the age when I really started to do a lot of CPRG ( much to my wife's dispair).

Bungleau 07-22-2006 10:10 AM

2. Favorite CRPG?

3. First CRPG ('cause you never forget your first...)

Lauren 07-23-2006 06:59 PM

4. Do you have any pets or wild animals that you keep in a cage ?

toot033 07-23-2006 07:06 PM

2. Favorite CRPG?
Baldurs Gate #2. The detail was great and I played it for months and months.

3. First CRPG ('cause you never forget your first...)
Realy going to show my age - SSI's Pool of Radience. In grad school I would play that for stress relief. ( Loved having to figure how to lob fireballs for the best damage)

toot033 07-23-2006 07:08 PM

4. Do you have any pets or wild animals that you keep in a cage?
I can't really count my daughter ( social services would frown upon that I think)but I have a 9 year old tabby who really rules the house. ( In her mind when she meows everything should stop.)

Bithron 07-24-2006 05:40 AM

5. Have you started to wonder about natural selection?

<- Dammit! Now I'm a wrinkly old man!!! :D

Oh yes I do wonder about natural selection... Look at a bumble bee and it make me wonder what it beat out....

I think the next answerer should be... Lucern.

#1. MMORPG's or CRPG's?

ZFR 07-25-2006 01:55 PM

2. Do you have any siblings.? How do you get along with them? How did you get along with them when you were kids?

Madman-Rogovich 07-25-2006 07:33 PM

3. I see you're from Michigan, thats big hunting country right? so my question is are you a hunter?

Captain Obvious 07-25-2006 08:42 PM

4. what do you spend your days doing (e.g work or school)?

sorry if that is a dumb question, i am kind of new/ignorant.

5. if you were to take over the world would you be a good and just ruler, or an evil dictator (with minions to do your bidding!)?

Hey, I'm only 18, and I still play that. I bought a gamepack with a lot of the old D&D games.

Lucern 07-28-2006 11:03 PM

Heya guys...sorry for the delay. Went home for a funeral on the day I was chosen and just now saw it.

1) CRPG's until there's a MMORPG that approaches the depth of their brethren. I'm currently enjoying ES4: Oblivion and I'm about to show Tyrannthraxus who's boss in the original Pool of Radiance again. My MMORPG's only end in resentment at wasted time and a few names on AIM that I avoid lol.

2) Siblings. Yes. 2 of them - a 26 year old brother and a 21 year old sister (I'm in the middle at 24). We got along fairly well, barring the occasional and inevitable smack-down of epic proportions. There was this one time, the battle of the plastic ninja sword against the plastic death's scythe...*flashback* ahhh...nevermind. The wounds are too deep :D I love em now, and we chat regularly, out of ninja sword reach. :D

3) Hunting... Michigan may be a popular hunting ground, but I've never fired a firearm. I did go bow-hunting with my recently departed grandfather though, 10 years ago. If anyone nearby has any extra venison-jerky they wanna send me from a hunt, I'll be their best friend though.

4) What do I actually do? As good a question as any. Normally, I spend my time trying to keep up with crazy amounts of reading and such assigned - I'm entering my second year of a doctoral program in anthropology. I also work as either a research assistant or a teaching assistant. This semester I'm the TA for a mid-level class on human evolution, which I'm psyched about. Do a quick search on evolution in the CE forum - I'm pretty much guaranteed to be found there ;) I'm taking the summer relatively easy - painting offices, light reading, and heavy gaming.

5)a) Good or evil ruler of the world? There are more than enough unjust rulers in this world. I'd rescind my autocratic hold as soon as chaos could be averted, that is, after I abolish the silly nation-state model, end race and sex disparity, and institute hand puppet theatre as the official entertainment of Earth. Can't I be a good ruler and still have minions? None of those useless minions though. My minions will all be capable at something, unlike, say, imperial stormtroopers. "Oh, that's Jane. She's one of Lucern's minions. She can install a phone line like no other."

5)b) Lord Soth is pretty cool, but I think the Dracolich is my favorite. I believe the image comes from a scene from one of the Forgotten Realms source books, where a party of adventurers is doing battle with one. Classic D&D.

Since he appears to be back and have a functional computer, I choose Callum as the next answerer.

1. Why Callum?

Callum 07-29-2006 07:46 AM

1) My parents liked it; Me and my brothers all have Scottish names. (Callum, Lachlan, and Lindsay Kerr). For those interested, it actually means Dove. And there's a manly name for you :(
