Variol, I want you to know that I sincerely sympathize with you on the death of your dog. It's so hard, I know. But there's another one out there that needs you.

It's funny you say that. No sooner did they put the dog down that she was handing me a list! I know there are too many out there that need a good home, but I think we need a bit of time.

Thanks everybody for taking the time to share (and care)! It really does help a lot.

Ilander 12-16-2004 04:18 PM

Well, Variol, my condolences on the dog...you have my best of wishes in the healing process! May you give the next one as much love as you gave the first.

Finals are nearly done here...just one more, in Physics, tomorrow morning at eight. Then, I finish my paper, and I go home for the holidays. YAY!
yes, it will take time, I understand this too well. I am going through the same ordeal basicly, but my mom well not have my dog put down until there is no options left. when you feel the time is right, there are plenty of dogs who needs a home, but do not rush into getting one. :hugs:

Helllllo! It's been ages since I visited I know :D I'm actually between finals at school-just finished taking my philosphy one after a bad timing fiasco (classes started 30min early-unbeknownst to me until 10 minutes before the class started!) and now I have 40min to spare until my algebra final, then I'm all done for the semester!

So where have I been you might wonder...well, I've been playing WoW, of course! :D I hit lvl 37 last night...achieving lvl 40 will be so sweet (I get my mount!) and I plan to grind out the last 3 levels and make 60 gold for my mount over the weekend -_-

Things at home are still messed up...my dad is just becoming more deluded...something along the lines of having a baby with his gf and expecting my mom to "join the new family" along with a check for $1,000,000 in his wallet...from her...

Aaaaanyway, our new house is coming along good and I should be in it by the 2nd week of Jan. With high speed if we're lucky ^^

Take care everyone. Did you know normal keyboards suck compared to laptop ones...

Uh... No that's okay... unless Cloudy gives me a raise! I can't raise a family on minimum wage! :D

On a side note: Variol, dude I'm so sorry to hear about your dog man. :( I know how you feel.

Jen, if she falls for that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I'd like to sell her. Poor lady, this must be hard on her, too.

Dron_Cah 12-16-2004 08:20 PM

Hey all. I'm very close to being done with my finals. Rather excited actually. Too bad a I have a butt-load to do tomorrow. Oh well. I'm off to study some more. Au revoir!

You should go to university, HiveTyrant. You will regret it if you don't. *muses* Somebody once made a Christmassy version of my sig, a Santa hat on my pally, but I never used it.

Sigmar 12-17-2004 10:34 AM

Personally, I'm amazed you kept the same sig for yonks now, where's it from anyhow?

Hey, I like it. It expresses the inner me. Cerek made it for me, back when he was Barbaric. Willow once commented that she thought it came from Men of Might and Magic and Wellard said it came from a Howard Pyle book, presumably Iron Men and Saints.

Blunderbuss 12-17-2004 05:51 PM

Finally, the weekend! School on Monday and Tuesday and then I'm finished until after the New Year. Yay! I'm not too bothered about Christmas, as I'm only getting money, which will go into the bank, building up towards a graphics card. But I am excited about two weeks off school. This last term has worn me out, especially as I spent the summer in hospital. Anyway, I'll stop typing now. :D

Thanks. It took me a while to settle in on one, but I'm not one to change, much, when I like something. What's that in yours, a Shaman's wand? A magic staff?

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 12-17-2004 08:44 PM

It's "Breaker" an Artifact found in Might & Magic 8. I had an old save game I loaded and cut a few nice items out of. I'll change it soon I think.

Stats: Club
Attack: +12 3d3 +12
Might: +20
Endurance:: +20
10-20 points of body damage.

Just remember these are not DnD type stats.

No reason to change it I suppose, mind you, that contradicts every sig change I've made :D

Cloudbringer 12-18-2004 12:46 PM

We're cleaning house for company visiting tomorrow and I'm off to wrap presents, but wanted to say HI to the Cafe Crowd today!

So..HI!

Sigmar 12-18-2004 12:51 PM

*waves in response*

Hello! :D

*carries on looking under cafe tables for loose change and the occasional used chewing gum*

Xen 12-18-2004 01:04 PM

Hi all. I just came from shower and feel so refreshed. I had a tea before that, and now I wll watch the news. Later I will play BG 2/PES 4.

Attalus 12-18-2004 01:33 PM

Hi, Cloudy, Sigmar and Xen. It's a beautiful, beautiful day here in Texas. 60 degrees Fahrenheit and only a few wispy clouds and no wind to speak of. Too bad we have to waste it shopping.

Hi there Attalus. I'm glad that you are having a good day.

Blunderbuss 12-18-2004 02:06 PM

Well, my day's been alright. My football team, (that's proper football, not American football :D ), won after a long run of defeats and... erm... that was about it really...

You and your weather reports depress the hell out of me. You know I live in the great white north. ;) :D

Well day two at work. We have some friends here from Clagary. So hope to get home soon and go for a visit. ;)

RoSs_bg2_rox 12-18-2004 07:10 PM

Well last night we got a load of snow suddenly, and it is snowing again at -5. Fairly chilly! *waits for the reports of -20 :D

Well, I started my christmas shopping today. Unfortunately with the gf being there it took longer than I had presumed, and I had to leave to go to work, so I have to go back in on Thursday...great.

Callum 12-18-2004 07:10 PM

Hey Cloudy :D

I'm going to a friend's house to steal his playstation 2 before he goes away to India :D

RoSs_bg2_rox 12-18-2004 07:11 PM

Make sure you steal some games too ;)

I suggest San Andreas would be a good start

Jorath Calar 12-18-2004 07:18 PM

I also did my christmas shopping today... sheesh, I must have brought home 20 kilos of stuff from the stores... it's no picnik lugging all that around for 6 hours... I was so tired when I got home I just collapsed on my bed and just woke up... looks like another sleepless night ahead...

RoSs_bg2_rox 12-18-2004 09:54 PM

Well, unfortunately collapsing on my bed wasn't an option, although I wish it had been. Well I think I should turn in and get a decent nights sleep since it is 3am. This week I have had a crap 5hours sleep each night, so I think a nice long 10hours is in order before work tomorow.

Have a good night Jorath, I'm sure you'l find a game to ammuse you.

Bungleau 12-18-2004 10:06 PM

Just for you, Ross, our low tomorrow is supposed to be 6 F. That should be around -13 for you centigrade folks High is going to be 13, or around -10.

Unless you're talking F already, in which case I'll back out of the discussion and let our Canadian and Icelandic IWers pipe up :D

Attalus 12-19-2004 01:30 PM

Good morning, all. Another beautiful day, here. More Christmas shopping awaits, though. Anybody play KotOR II for the PC? Is it worth playing? I'm still playing Neverwinter Nights modules.

Jorath Calar 12-19-2004 02:45 PM

I don't think Kotor 2 is out yet for the PC...

Demon stone is though, and it sounds great...

Sir Goulum 12-19-2004 02:51 PM

Hello, all! Today is being weird... we just got a bunch of hail, now it's raining, and there is a chance of an afternoon thundershower! This winter is awesome! :D

Dave_the_quack 12-19-2004 06:59 PM

Just got back from holidays.... IM SEMI BROWN! (ok, compared to normal pasty me, im black). Did you all miss me? If not, LIE DAMMIT.

Sigmar 12-19-2004 07:06 PM

Welcome back Dave. :D

T-D-C 12-19-2004 07:12 PM
