Outfit or no, I'd pay to see her Lady Z. (obviously I'd pay more for the no....no outfit that is)

Ok, I know that was just sad :D

Attalus 02-03-2003 09:37 AM

*Innocent look* Whatever can you mean, MagiK? And, gamewise, I would introduce Coleen to BG, first. People who come through BG seem to enjoy BGII more, IMHO, especially having a better knowledge of, and liking for, Imoen, Viconia, and Jaheira. I still remember the shock that I got when we found Khalid, dead, or when Imoen was kidnapped. If we hadn't played through BG, it wouldn't have meant anything.

Yeah it was supposed to be easy. Myself I got only the Black Screen of Paralyzation. Users Guide didnīt say anything about where to put the jumper, or if it did, it was written in perfect spanish scrawl. I hate cheap supermarket motherboards.

But then itīs a good investment for future..

MagiK 02-03-2003 09:44 AM

Well NW that is what I told Colleen, she, now has a machine that can have the CPU, Memory, Video and every other component easily upgraded but shouldneed to do that for at least a year or more.

Attalus, You know I had forgotten that little aspect of the game, it really has been a long time since I have played...last semester school was too intense, this semester I only have Accounting II so maybe I'll play a bit more.

Callum Kerr 02-03-2003 09:44 AM

Well... not really... because in three years or so it will be outdated again...

Timber Loftis 02-03-2003 09:53 AM

Morning.

Well, shoot, I posted on the wrong dang day for the cafe. Well, which BG to introduce MagiK's new gf to is certainly a better topic than haggis and cat barf.

Good morning to you, Timber Loftis. It's afternoon here already (almost 4 p.m.) but it still feels like morning though. Yay! Perhaps my skiing trip will go through after all! We were afraid the amount of snow would be a problem, but apparently the weather gods like us, because they're gonna let it snow all week long in Germany (where we're going). Hurray!

Cloudbringer 02-03-2003 09:59 AM

Just a quick note- the url I posted in the Cafe for the Chat room is not functioning now. There was some problem with that version and Z's sorry, but it may take a while to get things up and running again, as he would need to re-license another version.

Callum Kerr 02-03-2003 10:02 AM

Hey... u r going on a skiing trip? me too... have fun...

Cloudbringer 02-03-2003 10:03 AM

Good morning, btw! :D

Timber, LOLOLOL, yes that is a better topic of discussion! But hey, cat barf happens, you know? ;) :D :D :D

MagiK, I think BG2 is better if you have to choose one.

Attalus 02-03-2003 10:10 AM

Cloudy, I agree that BGII is the game of games, the ne plus ultra of RPGs, but I wouldn't take for my going through BG first. In addition to my love for the ladies mentioned, you learn a lot about caution and how to fight when you are weak, I'll never forget Galadria's mage, tottering around with just one Magic Missle, and my pally getting killed by a kobold. Then, you really appreciate the high-level spells and high HP in BGII. Besides, there was no problem with not taking Sarevok into my party in TOB. Yuck!

WillowIX 02-03-2003 10:24 AM

Hello Timber. I trust you have had comfy weekend. Now tell me, is it good to be ack at Ironwo.. *cough* work?

Hmm Attalus, would you care to trade places with me for a month or two? At least until spring returns up here. ;)

The problem is I NEVER bring my kit, EVER, to PE (and I still stay skinny...don't you just hate me?), and so i get Detention. And so never go to the detention (the PE department has a naff detention system. Really. They have a person who doesn't teach the subject take you into a room, she doesn't have a list of whose supposed to be there, and doesn't tell the PE department who was. )
I've wroked out I owe the PE department 97 hours of detention :uhoh:

Cloudbringer 02-03-2003 01:22 PM

Spending my afternoon at work, getting caught up on some tasks from last week and some new ones. Had lunch with my sweetie. sigh.... I do wish I could take some time off just to spend a little quality time with him these days... we've begun tentative wedding plans but the date is still in the air....

Attalus 02-03-2003 01:27 PM

LOL, Kat, you seem to have gamed the system. It's no surprise that you are skinny, after all, you aren't 16, yet, are you?

Willow, you can come down here, but you couldn't get me up there, not this time of year. Try again in August. Why, I might get such cabin fever, I might start playing W&W. Ooh, it's cooled off, all the way down to 58, and cloudy. Cloudrevenger must not have gotten the fair weather I promised, and this is her revenge.

May 22nd, I can't wait! Of course, I won't be able to do anything that I want to do until I'm eighteen, but it's that whole, yeah I'm sixteen thing :D
Colin will be eighteen on March 11th, bless 'im
Attalus, if you think that's something, I've spent over 400 hours in detention over my schoolistic career :D
Cloudy...THAT'S FANTASTIC! Ooooh, that's so sweet! *hugs Cloudy and Nachtfracte (whose name I can never spell, can I call him Jim-Bob Jones of the Amazon rainforest) I hope you get everything you wanted for your wedding! (ie, dress, venue, cake, and maybe the groom too )

Hey, Willow, did you ever figure out if there are benefits to alcohol generally -- esp. vis-a-vis blood pressure -- or just red wine? I know this is Friday's discussion, but I don't want to be drinking my 1-2 glasses of Scotch/night thinking it is beneficial if it isn't. Any insight, ATTALUS???

I'm lazy, to tell the truth. I'm one of the brighter kids but can't be bothered to work. If I can get 50% on an exam without revising, then imagine what I could get with.. ;)
Sigmar (if he pops in) my mocks results were:
English: C
English literature: C
IT: B
French: B
Double science: CC
History: B
ClassCiv: C
RS: E
Maths: D

Attalus 02-03-2003 01:47 PM

No! Cloudy, don't send any more. I want to continue to torture, er, inform you and Willow of how nice our weather is.
*Looks at weather on aoHell* Bugger, a high of 48 tomorrow.
Kat, I didn't get detention, either. I don't think they had it back then. The recreant boys were sent to the Assistant Principal for whipping, or "licks," we called it back then.

Now that is an amusing observation :D

Attalus 02-03-2003 03:07 PM

Yeah, judging from the glimpses I have had of them, they make U.S. newspapers look like models of Journalistic Ethics. Of course, there are tabloids here, like the National Enquirer, who basically make things up, but they don't have the wide circulation that the Mirror and its ilk do over there. Dunno why.

Attalus! PFFFT to you and your 48 degrees! It's just barely above freezing here! Well, at least yesterday was relatively nice. About 40. I was actually able to go out and take the inch of sluch off of the driveway. You know...we actually have asphalt under there. ;)

Kaltia. Welcome back! Glad to see that you got the power-spamming out of your system. :D Are you having fun yet?

Yep, worked the spam out around now. Now I don't sound like Jerome on crack, isn't that so much better? :D

Indeed, the Sun is probably our "best"-liked by working class men everywhere *rolls eyes* who have nothing better to do than watch Jordan. Did you know, the sun's "tribute" to the 9/11 victims included Jordan draped across one of those yellow taxis clutching the American flag? (According to the Private Eye, anyway :D )

Alcohol has been reported to SLIGHTLY lower your blood pressure and as a result an increase in heart activity. Alcohol is also good against anxiety and depressions. Nope stick to red wine. ;) It lowers blood pressure by enhance the synthesis of nitrid oxide as well as inhibiting the formation of a compound called thromboxane alpha, which is necessary for blood clotting. And you get rid of those pesky side effects like aggression and "self-inflicted abdominal stab wounds"! What the heck?!? LOL!

Sadly I can't. It's a little known fact that one of the downsides to being a mod here is that you have to undergo a two week aversion therapy course during which all desire to spam is erased from your psyche.

Somehow the treatment never really took in Cloudy's case.........
