Moiraine, same here with regard to roleplaying.... can't do it. Well flirting is ok with me, but (not trying to offend here, for all you roleplaying people, just do it if you like it!) the whole roleplaying thingie is just over the top I think....causes a lot of trouble when people take it too seriously or get jealous or just cannot make a difference between OOC and IC...also I can't help it but to me it just has too much of a hint of unfairness/betrayal if you're involved with someone in real life...
Anyway glad you think about it the same way, and there are more people here who do.

Ah well.

Dear Moiraine, I empathize with you so much on this point! You are NOT stupid!! You are certainly one of the finest people here. I'm glad to know you even a little bit. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

I had never role played (or flirted) in my life... was so shy of it that I avoided PnP (and seldom dated) because I was afraid I'd look too stupid. I was interested, but just couldn't overcome the nervousness. I have a son who is a wonderful actor, sings beautifully and is so impressive on stage. I watch him in awe and wonder if he's someone else's baby that was switched for mine at birth! (j/k he looks a lot like me)

That's what this board has done for me. The Moon's Hope Inn, and especially the kind, funny, friendly people here on this whole forum (Thank you oh Great Ziroc http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/cheer.gif ) have opened up a whole new arena for me. It's such an adventure! I love it! I can actually be playful! Myhusband is very happy with my new-found creativity, and supports the whole thing.

Now I wish you all lived nearby so I could try out PnP! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...miles/heee.gif

Another female here (* jumping up and down and waving her hand*) ! (Although I'm currently registered under my male Martian Dwarf's name). I'm a little bit younger than dirt (62 actually), and retired from a career as a computer geek. I've been totally addicted to CRPG's since the first one I ever played - the original Wizardry in the early '80. A big part of my fun is selecting characters, naming them, and having imaginary conversations among them. My main other hobby is constructing crossword puzzles (and solving them too, of course).

Make that 18 females please. . .I am a grandma from Ohio, very female and all four of my sons think I am cool because I can get them out of the toughest situations they can get into in Duke Nukem (that goes for the Star Wars series, Doom, etc.). I play on "Damn I'm Good". I love Wizards and Warriors and recently bought it for my daughter who lives in California. I think the WW forum is the best place on the net to find good friends and good entertainment.

Most call me mammaw, you can pick whatever you like or whatever is easy, matters not to me. Yes I do have grandchilden who play; my grandson in California is 17 and plays, my grandaughter, who lives with me, is 8 and she plays some. I have another grandson by marriage who is 7 and he plays. The other 3 grandchildren are too little to play yet. I also have 2 cats, a skinny vanilla one named Dr. Leonard J. McCoy (nicknamed Bones) and a black and gray tabby named Baby (who is a big baby) both males; http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...smiles/cat.gif and I also have a beautiful cream and white female dog named Ezra who has one blue eye and one brown eye. This seems to be a really nice place to visit! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/xyxwave.gif Lots of females standing up to be counted - too cool. Oh and by the by, I am 52.

Another Wiz&War checking in. I'm 46 and have been gaming since I first saw the original Wizardry around 1986-7. I've played all the Zorks, Duke Nukem, Quake, Half-life, Doom, all 7 Wizardry. I sure hope Wizardry 8 is worth the wait - what's it been, 4 years now?

I'm a volunteer paramedic (bet you already knew that) so I get to see a lot of real blood and guts. Being able to heal by spelling is a whole lot easier.

Did you know you are the first person from Virginia I have met on this board? Nice to meet you "Paramedic"! I live in Alexandria, age 35. And I loved Zork! I'm a volunteer paramedic (bet you already knew that) so I get to see a lot of real blood and guts. Being able to heal by spelling is a whole lot easier.

Did someone say CATS?!?!?!
LOL! Check my profile and see some of mine on my homepage. We have 10 in all...all saved from being abandoned or born as strays.
Don't listen to Mr. Snuggles! I am NOT A CRAZY CAT LADY! Just a sucker for sick and homeless babies!

We have two "throw-away" dogs too..."Zip" and "Code" they are sisters taken in by grandpa when a friend of his decided she wanted new dogs. : (
