OOC: Don't wish for that!!! I doubt I could handle that many! :D lol

<font color=yellow>Keal finds that Ferraldy Tower (if that's what he's asking about) was a purely residential tower, and as such, only employed guards, technicians, and maintenance workers, with many of the other work being performed by droids.

The guards outside of Kralla T'on's apartment (Kralla T'on is the Sullustan that is your witness, Keal), ask for your security clearance.

Bakilas is greeted well indeed by the man, who seems to be a bit of a drunkard, but eyed suspiciously by his friends. He continues, blaming most of the problems of the lower level on the government, specifically on the Bothans, who "can't just accept that something doesn't belong to them." According to him, the lower levels of Coruscant are far closer to siding with the Hutts than siding with the Bothans, and the opinion of the locals of the Bothans just keeps sinking, especially after the incident at Ferraldy Tower. Word on the street is that the building's security was such that the only paramilitary force that could have broken it was the Bothans, or the Republic. Some thought the Republic did it, but most thought it was the Bothans.

Eciel notes a glimmer of hope, both in the Twi'lek's eyes and in the subtle currents of the Force emanating off of him. He shakes his head at the realization he had used his power subconsciously, without even thinking about it. That wasn't the problem for now, though. There were other things in play.

Yulo caves, finally, and tells Eciel his story, telling him of his beautiful family and happy life. Then, one evening, in going out to the speeder pad for some alone time, after having a bit of an argument with his wife over the children, saw a brilliant blue light from below. The building rocked, and began to tilt noticably. Suddenly, Yulo's feet had felt lighter, and he had known the building was going downward, toward the explosion. In disbelief, he had been paralyzed, and soon, he was falling with the rest of the tower. Only through luck did he manage to achieve his airspeeder. By the time its engines were started, he was inside the cloud of debris, with smoke and ferrocrete dust engulfing his vision. Grasping the controls in shock, he hit the repulsorlifts, angling upward, hoping that he wouldn't hit anything on the way up. Only after the initial shock of the collapse had passed and he was above the debris-cloud did he realize the terrible price he had paid.

jolleyjester 04-03-2005 05:10 AM

At first he had no idea what to say back to Yulo, so he simply didn't speak for a long moment. Something in the aliens story brought back old memories Eceil would have rather left dead and forgotten. After giving a noticeable sigh Eceil walks over to the door and seals it shut before kicking Yulo’s weapon back over to his feet.
“Your wounds gona be fine. Doesn’t look like I hit anything important- and don’t worry about mine, I’ll be okay.”
Eceil tips the couch over to its proper side and slinks down into it with a sigh. The adrenaline had thinned out of his veins now and the pain from the Twi’lek’s lucky gun shot was starting to work its way through his aching body. Ignoring the wound as best as he can, Eceil continues calmly.
“We live in a city with a thousand buildings like the Ferradly Tower. It’s not every day you see one of them blow up either. They’ve fed me this story about how this was just a terrorist attack, some anarchists bent on raising hell, but I don’t know if I buy it. I got my own ideas about what happened, maybe you can help me weed them out. You were living pretty high up in the building, you must have seen things. Ever notice anything in the tower that seemed out of place? Maybe an odd group of residence or some off limits section of building?”

Keal 04-03-2005 05:09 PM

<font color=red>Keal acts as if he is checking his pockets and says,"Oops, I must have left it in the bathroom," and turns the corner into the elevator. He walks into a bathroom and waits for a guard to come in. He sneaks up behind him and grabs him in a headlock, and with the right pressure and timing he lets go and the guard is knocked out clean on the floor. He searches the man for a clearence card, takes it and goes back to the door. "Here it is."</font>

<font color=white>"Hey, this is my partners ID!!! What did you do with him?"<font color=yellow> the guard says as he pulls his blaster, aiming it at your character from two meters away. He demands you put your hands on your head.</font>

shadowhound 04-03-2005 06:09 PM

After shouting the man another drink Bakilas stands up and leaves the cantina, he waits across the street for Terassk to complete his inquiries.

Keal 04-03-2005 06:54 PM

<font color=red> "Alright..."Keal says as he waits for the guard to aproach him...</font>

Ilander 04-03-2005 07:29 PM

<font color=yellow>The guard does not approach Keal. After a moment, he moves the blaster to a one-handed grip, still aimed at your chest, and thumbs his comlink. He calls for backup.

Yulo tells Eciel of a small number of rooms which were off limits to the people living in Ferraldy Tower. These rooms were the rooms for building security, and the rooms for the building's emergency reactor, used infrequently as a power source.

Joneth finally arrives at the Senate, and is promptly asked for his identification. He presents the security clearance he was given at the base, and is ushered along, with Barrick trailing behind him.

OOC: I'm waiting on TheGrandSlayer to find out what Terrask is doing at the cantina...but I'll have you an update before long, Shadowhound!</font>

Keal 04-03-2005 07:37 PM

<font color=red>"I can't let this guy call backup," Keal thinks to himself. He quickly tries to kick the gun out of the guard's hand and then punch him across the face. Next he tries to reach for the walkie talkie and say, "Never mind, it wasn't that important."</font>

Sorry chaps, hurt my tail bone and couldnt sit at the desk chair for a while.

Terassk overhears bits and pieces of information, most of it involving prejudice, or so he thought, towards Bothans. Singling out one particular man who said it, Terassk sits near him (or her), "Hey, just arrived here, lemme buy you a drink, (Sorry for stealing that idea Shadow! It WORKS!) heard about the tower getting blasted, bad stuff there, what have you heard about it?"

Ilander 04-03-2005 08:12 PM

<font color=yellow>Keal gets shot, and takes 14 points of damage, and the guard radios for backup.

Terrask is told by the patron that it was probably a reactor-overload. It seems that this person was once an engineer, and he mentions that the building was one of the few in the area to have a full-scale reactor for backup power. Oddly enough, it had made the news a few weeks prior for being one of the first towers to begin work on tower-specific shield projectors for the purpose of giving its residents even more assurance of their safety.

OOC: Good to have you back, TheGrandSlayer! Sorry 'bout the tail-bone...</font>

[ 04-03-2005, 08:16 PM: Message edited by: Ilander ]

TheGrandSlayer 04-04-2005 07:12 PM

Terassk thanks the man for his information and leaves to meet Bakilas, saying "I got a good lead, says there was a reactor overload, may be some tampering with it since someone was supposed to add shield projectors, what next?"

OOC: My ass still hurts...

shadowhound 04-04-2005 07:40 PM

"Well I heard some suspicions about the Bothans. Perhaps we should split up, you can look into the shiled prodectors etc (such as tracking down the company used in fixing the shield generators) while I look into the Bothans."

jolleyjester 04-04-2005 08:57 PM

“None of that really seems out of place. What about residence, anyone there who stood out? And what about the docking pads, you ever seen any suspicious ships landing? How about right before the explosion, did you see any ships leaving the building right before it began to explode?”

Keal 04-04-2005 09:17 PM

<font color=red> Keal takes the shot and dashes down the hall and dives out a window. He runs down the street and into a bar,"Well I made that a whole lot worse than it should have been." He then returns to the hide out under the city. He keeps the ID card and makes an exact copy of it, only this time with a different name, dob, etc. and laminates it,"This shood do, but first..." Keal says as he takes off his shirt and wraps up the wound,"There, he shouldn't recognize me, there's probably another guy there anyway, they work shifts right. Besides, no one really saw may face."
He returns to the building, with armour and all, after he repairs the wound and mends the damage to his clothing of course,"I'm here to check on the survivor," Keal says to the guard as he shows him the card,"I'm new."</font>

<font color=yellow>The only person who had already left was Eciel.

Now, on to the roleplaying...you arrive back at the tower, and note, as you turn the corner, that there are 6 armed guards surrounding the residence now. I'm going to say that you haven't talked to anybody yet...and that you're also healed, having used some bacta while at the hideout.

Eciel, Yulo doesn't say anything else of importance---Ferraldy Tower had fairly regular traffic flow, so it was something he ignored. As a note, you'd probably want to send this data back to the base to share with everyone else.

The same goes to you two, Bakilas and Terrask; you are working with the group, and as such, need to share your data, first and foremost, in case something happens.</font>

jolleyjester 04-05-2005 01:41 AM

OCC: Yep Ilander, I do plan to bring my info back to the group.

After listening to Yulo for a few more minutes Eceil gets up and places his blaster pistol back in his jacket.
“Thanks for your time, Yulo.”
Eceil heads over to the door, a slight hobble in his walk from the wound.
“I might come back and check on you in a week or two. Do yourself a favor and don’t go shooting at anyone else, you might get yourself hurt.”

OCC: I’ll add more tomorrow when I’m not exhausted and crunching under assignment deadlines.

shadowhound 04-05-2005 06:59 AM

Bakilas uses his datapad to send the rumours that he and Terrask picked up in the cantina, he also examines the survivor list for any names he recognises.

jolleyjester 04-05-2005 09:48 AM

Eceil sends a message to the others over the datapads, telling them that he’s finished his interview with Yulo (no specific details on it). He also suggests the group heads back to the base to plan their next move.

TheGrandSlayer 04-05-2005 10:30 AM

Terassk contemplates Bakilas' suggestion, he then says "Unfortunately, I haven't got a name of the company, prehaps I could check building records on the towers, wherever they are.

Ilander 04-05-2005 10:49 AM

<font color=yellow>That stuff is public record, and is readily available via Holonet through your datapad, Terassk. The company name is Krinth Sheilding, and is local. The company is owned and operated mostly by humans, with a few exceptions. None of its employees are Bothans, however (just in case you asked).

Bakilas has never heard of any of the survivors before in his life. Most, apparently, were middle-class businesspeople who lived comfortably, but not extravagantly.</font>

Beaumanoir 04-05-2005 06:04 PM

OOC: Okay I'm back from Thailand. I'll try and join in as seemlessly as possible.

<font color="dodgerblue">Te'Oma Senesca had been relatively quiet since being handed his clearance code and being told to go about his own way. Finally, after thinking through and researching the background of the bombed building, he left the living quarters towards the exits. Walking down the corridor he notices a room labelled the Armoury, and decides to see what he could equip himself with, afterall, he still had his clearance. Walking in he looked around at the shelves. Blaster pistols were scattered about amoung rifles and other occasional fire-arms. He chuckled to himself. It'd been a long time since he used a blaster. The last time he used one in a combat situation nearly resulted in death for him. He still had the scar on his arm. He abhored ranged combat. It involved too much standing still and aiming.

"This is more like it" he muttered to himself in his native Nautolan tongue. On a low shelf, towards the back in the darkness, his large black eyes saw a vibro-sword, covered in dust. Bending down to pick it up, he noticed a shorter, vibroblade resting across the hilt of the sword. 'Why not take both?' he thought. Although blasters were not one of his fortés, he could sometimes crack a lucky shot with a thrown blade, if the target stood still for long enough - but he'd still much rather get close in.

Turning again, swinging his many head bound tentacles, he walked to the entrance of the building passing guards who glanced backwards to gaze at the green-skinned man. Unsure of his destination, he left through the main doors with a cheerful nod to the guards, and the man he remembered vaguely being known as Keal. 'He seems to be having a bit more difficulty getting around than myself' he thought. Considering to stop and see what the problem was, he waited to see what was going on. He could sense that Keal was slightly agitated from the pheramones that were circulating about him. And then, quite suddenly, he felt the force flowing through Keal and realised he was also Force sensitive, like himself.

Choosing to see what was going on, he waited patiently, rather than going to intervene.

Bakilas decides to check the holonet to see if he can find where the Bothans are usually located. (If he can not find out by this way he will head back into the cantina in an attempt to find this info.)

Keal 04-05-2005 08:14 PM

<font color=red>Keal returns to the tower and notices that not one guard was at the door, but six new guards."I sure hope this works," Keal thinks as he approaches the guard, this time showing his CLEARENCE CARD "I'd like to talk to the survivor of the bombing."

jolleyjester 04-05-2005 08:32 PM

OCC: First off, great to see you joining us, Beaumanoir

Ilander 04-05-2005 08:42 PM

OOC: I'm glad we have all this straightened out ;) Welcome to the game, Beaumanoir! I presume your trip was enjoyable?

<font color=yellow>No such luck with pinpointing any specific Bothans, or correlating them with any of the terrorist activities. The only noteworthy thing you find pertaining to Bothans is that Bothan Senator Rask Fey'lya of Bothawui is still on leave, and hasn't returned to the Senate. Note that Coruscant is a world with literally millions of Bothans. Further, not too many of them live in the lower levels.

Keal is eyed suspiciously by the guard that shot him, a glimmer of recognition crossing his face, but is allowed past---the security of these clearances has not been breached yet, so Keal obviously must have a real reason.

Keal enters the suite, noting that it is quite possibly the cleanest place he has ever seen. The walls, ceiling, and carpet are all spotlessly white, which is quite the contrast from ordinary life. Sitting on a divan with the shades drawn upon his window, Kralla T'on inclines his head to you, rises, grabs a plastic slip-cover and places it on a chair. Then, he gestures for you to sit.</font>

<font color=white>"What is it that brings you here, young man? Is there anything ole' Kralla can help you with? Are you with the investigation into Ferraldy Tower?"</font>

<font color=yellow>Eciel arrives back at the base after a long day, glad to see medical supplies and droids---the arm wound was really beginning to sting. After getting treated (full health again), he begins to walk away from the infirmiry when he notices a glimmer of something probing through the air. Reflexively, he draws himself inward, away from it, but still, he knows. There are others here who are Force-sensitive.</font>

Keal 04-05-2005 09:02 PM

<font color=red>"Somewhat, yes, but one who only has a couple simple questions, like, what kind of people lived there(I know it's for mid class business men, but my character hasn't seen his datapad yet),why would someone want to bomb the place, and is there anyone there I may want to watch out for, you know maybe get some extended info from?"Keal asks to the man[i]This guy's a real neat freak[i/] He thinks to himself before Kralla T'on answered.

jolleyjester 04-05-2005 09:07 PM

The nature of this one had eluded him until now. He had seen him before, sure, but Eceil had paid no real attention to the Nautolan, or most of the others for that matter. Thanks to the days work, though, his damn sixth sense was awake and murmuring things Eceil didn’t want to hear. He could feel now that this one was a force sensitive, and that thought suddenly put a sour taste in Eceil’s mouth.
For a while he tried to ignore it, but such a thing is impossible to avoid. It scratches at the back of your mind relentlessly.
Finally, he approaches the creature with a mixed feeling of fear and curiosity. Eceil instantly find himself staring at the Nautolan’s two vibro-swords.
“Vibro-swords? Good luck.” He slowly mutters, in between grinds of his teeth. “You’re not going to find a lot of people on Courescant willing to stand still long enough for you to cut them with one of those things.”

With a frown Bakilas sends out a message on the datapad for anyone to keep a heads up for any info on Senator Rask Fey'lya of Bothawui. "Perhaps I will stick with you and check out this company who worked on the shields."

Ilander 04-06-2005 01:05 AM

OOC: Who is Bakilas sticking with? Terassk? Sorry, I guess that's the only person Bakilas is around, but I have to ask...

<font color=yellow>Keal is told a lot of inconsequential gibberish by the aging Sullustan, who seems bent on keeping him from touching anything---every time Keal's hands move from his lap, Kralla strikes at them, though he doesn't hit them very often.

Suddenly, though, he gets serious. He tells you that if want to catch who's responsible for killing nearly a million peaceful, middle-class people for the sole reason of showing the government how unprepared it is, you'd probably want to start with General Rey Larsek of the CDF. He, it seems, was the person to propose putting sheild projectors on the towers, and had many lawsuits filed against him when, four days after the installation at Ferraldy Tower began, the building was brought down by some explosion. The survivors are in the process of suing him for damages due to an incomplete job.</font>

shadowhound 04-06-2005 02:04 AM

OOC: Yeah Terassk unless he decides he would rather attempt it alone, in which case I will think up an alternate plan.

Beaumanoir 04-06-2005 03:18 AM

<font color="dodgerblue">Te'Oma watched Keal enter the building with relative ease. Just as he is about to follow, he felt the same feeling which he felt not a minute ago. Weaker this time, but coming from alot closer to him. The force. Turning, he comes face to face with a human who he remembered some guards calling Eceil.

"I don't like blasters, much" he said. "I don't expect people to stand still - As long as they don't expect me too either" he added. Giving a slight smile he offered a nod and continued. "My name is Te'Oma. I recognise you from the task force we both seem to have been roped into. Have you had any luck with those survivors?"</font>

jolleyjester 04-06-2005 01:16 PM

<font color=white> "No, not yet at least."
It was a clammy, cold anxiety that griped him now. Eceill could tell that the creature had sensed his powers in the force. Whether or not the Nautolan had probed deeper into his head, though, was beyond his guess. He knew now that he should of just stayed away from the sensitive until he had drunk his senses back into submission.
OCC: YEAH! I GOT MY COLOR WORKING

<font color="dodgerblue">Te'Oma couldn't read minds, although it was one of his great ambitions to master the skill, but he could read emotions. Everybody has natural reactions. Whether they're concious ones or not. And Te'Oma, using the sensitive olfactory receptors in his head tentecles, was highly skilled in doing so.

"You don't trust me, do you human?" he said. "I don't know what I've done to deserve it, but I can assure you that your mis-trust is mis-placed. You've nothing to fear from me."</font>

Keal 04-06-2005 05:41 PM

<font color=red>Thank you sir, I'll definatly talk to him, and if I find out who bombed your tower, I'll be sure to tell you," Keal says as he walks out the door and sends out the info on his datapad and checks up on it,"Hmph, no real information so far, except about watch for Senator Rask Fel'ya. I should head back to the hideout and see what rest and information I can get there." The young Jedi thinks to himself. He exits the building and notices a recognizable Jedi,Te'oma, but ignores him and heads back to the HQ.

jolleyjester 04-06-2005 08:15 PM

<font color=white> Upon hearing the creatures words Eceil’s withered face takes a startled look. This is only for a second, though, and after staring at the creature for a moment his battered features return to their dull gaze. Slowly he rubs his eye sockets, as if suddenly awakening from some long dream.
“Your good with the force, I’ll give you that, but you really aren’t that smart. Here’s a word of advice for you, Nautolan. People don’t like you telling them what their feelings are, and they sure as hell won’t trust someone who’s prying into their heads. So do yourself a favor and keep out of my mind, if you can help yourself, and I won’t go fishing around in yours. I promise."

OOC: I'll stick with Bakilas, and also, I've gotten a hard-core Splinter Cell addiction going on, just got Chaos Theory.

Terassk turns to Bakilas "We should check the shielding company, ask around there, see if they lost employees in the destruction, and, if there are survivors of the bombing from that company, we should check and ask a few questions,"

Keal 04-06-2005 10:24 PM

<font color=red>Keal overhears what Eciel says but ignores it, and keeps walking twards the speeder that took him from the hideout to the building he just left, hops in, and heads back to the hideout.

When he gets back he decides to take a little nap, but wakes up after about 2 minuets."No, I can't rest, I still need to find a good lead!" Keal says to himself as he gets back up and gets rid of the body armor."I shouldn't need a disguise for this,' he says again to his lonesome. He looks up any info he can on the Genaral, and heads out again.</font>

Beaumanoir 04-07-2005 01:17 PM

<font color="dodgerblue">Te'Oma chuckles for a while. And then looks up at the sky, running his hand behind his head, down the back of his tentecles. Then he looked straight into the eyes of the human. He spoke softly, with a strange friendliness that was almost, in a bizarre way, intimidating.

"Your head? I'm not in your head human. If anything, i'm in your body". Te'Oma chanced a slight smirk, but remained relitivley straight faced. "Just ask yourself which is worse. Now, excuse me, but I have better things to do than waste my time on a Xenephobe such as yourself." He walked past Eceil and glanced back for a parting comment. "If you ever decide to get your facts straight and learn how to be slightly sociable, I'm sure you can find me."

With this, the Nautolan walked off, still unaware of his destination, but most likely the nearest cantina he found, muttering something under his breath in his native tongue.</font>

<font color= white>
Eceil watches the Nautolan walk off silently. It’s only after the creature takes the last step out of his eyesight that he grunts softly and turns back towards the heart of the building. Something in the alien reminded him of a crueler, dumber, version of the young Eceil. If that was the case, he knew this one had one hell of a ride coming up in the future.
“Poor kid.”
When the galaxy finally chews the Nautolan up and spits him out, Eceil wondered if there’d be anyone there to help him back on his feet. Their certainly hadn’t been one for Eceil, but he felt the kid didn’t deserve the same fate as he had experienced. Who knows, maybe it would be this old degenerate two bit gun slinger that would save his-
He shuts that thought of his mind instantly. There was no way Eceil would be alive in the decade or two when the crap finally hits the fan for this one. It wasn’t even worth thinking about it. Eceil had found his way, he would too.
With that matter closed to his mind, he checks his data pad for the others messages. Seeing the entries about shield generators and Bonthans, he sends a note out to the team.
“My interview with the Twi’lek didn’t get me much. He mentioned there were a few rooms off limits to the residence, though. He said they were security and generator rooms. None of that seems too suspicious, but we don’t have a lot of other leads going for us so I’ll get to work on that shielding company, too. Whoever brought the building down had to know the shield system. That could mean a lot of things, but I’d say they either stole the information from Krinth Shielding, had someone working at the company, or had someone in the shielding staff for the tower. I’ll join up with whoever is going to the company headquarters, we should see if we can find out who in the staff would have the know how to tamper with the towers shielding.”
Eceil turns back towards the door. Apparently he wouldn’t be getting his daily drinks in for a bit longer.
OCC: Should I just assume Eceil got his clearance card while back at base?

<font color=yellow>OOC: Yeah, JJ, I'd say that you got the clearance this time. ;)

Keal, General Larsek is on probation from the CDF right now, and has been missing for a while. He also has had a history of public disturbances on the same days as the terrorist incidents that occured after Ferraldy Tower collapsed.

Eciel finds that the Krinth Shielding Company has had many orders for tower-scale anti-collision grade shielding. The company's official opinion on the incident at Ferraldy tower is that, since the sheild generators were not quite online yet but had been well-advertised amongst the general populace, they were attacked before they could come online and prevent such a thing. As such, there was no way the employees of Krinth Shielding could have contributed to the loss. Additionally, all Krinth employees working at Ferraldy Tower on that day were killed, which has kept the CDF from investigating them to this point.

Bakilas and Terassk find that Krinth's headquaters is a third of the way around the planet, located in one of the city's skyhooks.

Te'Oma wanders out of the old Carracks Manufacturing Center, into the perpetual night of lower-level Coruscant, smelling the rank odor of overcrowding and filth and hearing the sounds of people of all types intermingled with the occaisional granite-slug slithering by along the walls overhead. People say they aren't dangerous, but to look at them, it can make a person wonder---they are two meters long and nearly 60 kilos.

You wander for a couple hours, and the light seems to almost disappear as the city's underbelly plunges into real darkness. You look up ahead, not quite remembering exactly where you are going, or which way you came. Suddenly, something seems to whisper to you, urgently, and then you feel the presence, rushing toward you with all the ill intent of 20 mercenaries. You pivot, only to see a monstrous Barabel, 2 meters tall and bristling with form-fitting armor as it closes the final 2 meters to you, claws outstretched.</font>
