<font color=skyblue>Turin

"If you will but allow me a moment..."

Turin closes the door in the guard's face and turns to Roland. He pointed without saying a word so as to not let the guard hear him speaking to the very man in question who was already at the door. Roland understood this gesture to mean that he could go get his gear and prepare for a journey through town to meet with this nightowl of a man who thought nothing of bothering people in the middle of the night.
</font>

(I shall save Roland a post and help dplax move the plot along.)

<font color=skyblue>
While Roland was getting ready, Turin ventured into the doorway of the sleeping Robyn and whispered to her what was going on. He insisted that she play through this portrayal of feeling sick and asleep, so as to save her from having to journey out, which would at least leave her available for them, in the chance that this meeting turned sour. He told her where she might locate the elf as well. In a moment, Roland was ready and the both walked to the door, fully clothed and prepared for this strange summons.

"Alright...we are ready to go with you. Lead the way."</font>

dplax 08-29-2004 05:43 AM

For Turin and Roland:

<font color=blue>"Come this way then."</font>

The guard then led them towards the town gates and then outside them about 300 meters (about 900-1000 feet). Lord Easthome was waiting there with three guards. After the guard explained to him that Robyn was not feeling well and could not come the Lord dismissed the guard, who went back into the town. After he got out of earshot Lord Easthome started speaking.

<font color=lightgrey>"Before speaking about anything important I would like to know something. What relationship have you and your companions got with my son?"</font>

Sythe 08-29-2004 09:50 AM

<font color=lightgreen> Roland blinked when the question was asked. He looked to Turin expecting him to handle this. </font>

dplax 08-29-2004 10:26 AM

For Keal and Therlion:

Kalam stepped forward and spoke now.

<font color=orchid>"Stop trying elf! Simply put you are our prisoner until my father decides your fate. Now we must continue on with our mission."</font>

The group then saddled up and started moving. Kalam indicated for Therlion, behind whom Keal was sitting on the horse to fall back from the group with him.

Bozos of Bones 08-29-2004 11:59 AM

Therlion speaked softly, so that noone in the group hears but Keal <font color=silver>"Keal, calm down. Kalam means you no harm, and will do anything he can to protect you. And if he can't protect you, I will, atleast untill you get your weapons and armor back."</font> He slowed his horse towards Kalam and continued <font color=silver>"Kalam has introduced me to his plans to replace his father as the ruler, and side this land with us."</font> He turned to Kalam as he neared him and said <font color=silver>"I appreciate this, Kalam."</font>

Keal 08-29-2004 12:39 PM

<font color=orange>Keal has trouble believing Therloin although he already knows what he said is true."How long is it until we get to your father, and who is he?"

The Fallen One 08-29-2004 04:20 PM

<font color = red > Terias watches Orunin go towards the last guard, since he himself couldnt cast a spell so fast in sucession.. </font>

OOC: Sorry about the dissapearing everyone, i was moving into my college dorm, and it took a heck of a lot of time, but i should be back here more often now that im settled downed ^_^

dplax 08-29-2004 04:34 PM

For Keal and Therlion:

Kalam looked around nervously before replying, and even then directed his gaze at Therlion when replying.

<font color=orchid>"I shouldn't be seen talking to you elf. I'm sure Therlion can satisfy all of your questions. By the way Therlion be prepared I am nearly sure that if anything happens it will happen before we reach the enemy."</font>

dplax 08-29-2004 04:41 PM

For Terias and Kirūn:

OOC: I'll assume since Cienden doesn't seem to be around that Kirūn has charged and taken care of the last orc. You are now free to open the door which is ahead of you, or you can change the plan if you wish.

dplax 08-29-2004 04:43 PM

A note to everyone participating in the game:

Disable your sigs! I have already asked for this several times, but people seem to forget. If you don't know how to do this then here it is:

If you reply with quick reply there is a box next to it saying show signature?. You should uncheck this.
If you reply with the normal reply then the same function is under the message box.

Keal 08-30-2004 09:07 PM

<font color=orange> Keal asks Therloin the same question, except he also adds,"Why is it that he can't be seen talking to me, these are his men, they should trust what their captain is doing."

The Fallen One 08-30-2004 11:16 PM

<font color = "red"> Terias continues towards the door, and signals to the rest to follow him, and slowly opens the door.. </font>

dplax 08-31-2004 02:05 AM

For Terias and Kirūn:

You slowly open the door. At first you see nothing on the other side, but then slowly, your eyes get used to the darkness of the corridor ahead. It is a long corridor which stretches at least 30 meters (100 feet), after that it turns towards the right and you don't know how long it continues. On the visible part there are four doors in the left wall and three in the right. All of the doors have inscriptions in some language unknown to you.

Bozos of Bones 08-31-2004 05:24 PM

<font color=silver>"Because, his people hate us, and he doesn't want to be seen associating with one of us. Do not make the mistake thinking that, just by this show, he hates us. It would be a tactless approach if he shared company with elves within sight of his troops."</font> Therlion nodded his head at Kalam as he trodded away towards the group, holding some distance from them. He continued, silently <font color=silver>"And we will be meeting Kalam's father in at least three days. His father is the lord of these lands. They're sided with Morgoth, and we are here to change that."</font> He turned his back to the men and handed Keal a dagger. <font color=silver>"I can't have you going around unarmed. I would give you a sword, were it not too obvious"</font> Therlion smiled at Keal.

dplax 09-01-2004 10:59 AM

OOC: just a minor correction for Therlion's post. At the time of the game Mordor does not exist, the enemy can be referred to as Morgoth.

IC: For Therlion and Keal:

The night passed without further incident and when the sun started to rise the group made camp. Kalam approached Keal and Therlion.

<font color=orchid>"Scouts have reported that the wild men are in the valley running paralell with the one we are moving up in. My fathers orders were that wen we find the enemy Therlion and two of my men have to go to scout them out. I'll let you choose the men Therlion, as my father even said that you have to lead this small group. In the meantime"</font> - he said turning to his men too - <font color=orchid>"bring the other elf into my tent for interrogation."</font>

Bozos of Bones 09-01-2004 01:59 PM

OOC: You'll probably never going to believe that that was a mental typo, but it was.

Larry_OHF 09-02-2004 01:14 PM

<font color=skyblue>Turin

He should have expected this, but it still tok him by surprise. He had to come up with something now, for stalling would prove a guilt. Therefore, without hesitation, he spouted,

"This is why you awoke us from our sleep? Lord Easthome, what other relation can their be between the Lord's son and the subjects that follow your lead and council? We accept your son as the heir to your position of power here in this city. We pledge an allegiance to him and his bloodline, as you would expect us to."</font>

[ 09-02-2004, 01:14 PM: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ]

dplax 09-03-2004 06:06 AM

For Turin and Roland:

Lord Easthome snorted and slowly started to laugh. But then he checked himself.

<font color=lightgrey>"So you feel allegiance to the bloodline? Well as I am the leader of that bloodline then you owe most allegiance to me."

"My son has betrayed his bloodline. I have learned that he conspires against me. I have now sent him on a mission, which does not really exist. The aim of the mission is for my men to kill him. But I do not think they will succeed. Therefore I order you two to go and kill him. I know he trusts you, so the mission shouldn't be hard. And just in case you decide to double csoss me, remember that I have Robyn as a hostage..."</font>

Keal 09-04-2004 03:49 PM

<font color=orange>"Thank you friend,"Keal says to Therloin almost silently even to elves."He slowly hides it in his cloak the best he can, and following Kalam's orders he goes into his tent for his interregation.</font>

The Fallen One 09-04-2004 10:40 PM

Terias decides to continue down the hallway, to check if there is anything down there before deciding on a door.. Terias signals everyone to wait there while he explores the rest of the hallway. Terias casts some protections on himself and then continues down the hallway.

dplax 09-05-2004 04:15 PM

For Terias:

You get to the turning of the corridor and with your elven eyes can see in the dark which is in there. The corridor continues on twenty more meters, after which there is a massive metal door, with several keyholes in it.

Larry_OHF 09-05-2004 05:40 PM

<font color=skyblue>Turin

"There's no need to hold us to it, my Lord, for we shall readily serve you...and if you say that your son has betrayed his bloodline then we shall depart at once to find him. I suffer at the thought that we will not have the lady with us, who is an expert shot with the bow...but if it is your wish to have peace of mind, then so be it. When may we prepare to leave?"</font>

Bozos of Bones 09-05-2004 06:47 PM

OOC: Larry, this is the post where you hit 10K. Just FYI.
IC: <font color=silver>"I shall choose my escort now, then."</font> Therlion was already walking among the men. Some were polishing their weapons, some cleaning their equipment, and what not. All of them were eying the elf with contempt, killing him in their thoughts. <font color=silver>They all hate me, might aswell pick the one that hates me most.</font> Therlion found the rider that threatened him before. <font color=silver>Something useful might still come out of this. "You!"</font> he said in a hard voice <font color=silver>"I want you to accompany me to a scouting. Get ready, we move soon."</font> the man started <font color=blue>"What makes you think that I want to go with you!?"</font>, but Therlion was already walking away. <font color=silver>One. Now for one more.</font>
Therlion looked over all the other men, but found noone special, so he snatched the closest by the shoulder <font color=silver>"The commander told me you would be a good man to come with me on a scouting mission. Are you up for it?"</font> The man blurted <font color=green>Wha..? The c'mmander sa' tha'? W'll, yea, I'm up for it."<font color=silver> "Good. Get equipped then, we shall be going soon."</font> </font>Therlion went to Kalam's tent to inform him that he was ready.

dplax 09-06-2004 08:41 AM

For Turin and Roland:

<font color=lightgrey>"You may leave now."</font> - said Lord Easthome at the same time indicating three of his soldiers bringing Turin's and Roland's equipment about fifty meters away from the group.

OOC: if you want to take Easthome down, now is the chance, but he has two bodyguards and the three others shall soon arrive.

dplax 09-06-2004 08:45 AM

For Therlion and Keal:

<font color=orchid>"Good. I see that you are ready. My scouts have reported that the wild men are in the valley parallel to the south of this one. Report back with whatever you find."</font> - and with that Kalam dismissed Therlion and turned to Keal.

<font color=orchid>"Now we can at last speak in private. I am sorry for having treated you how I had to, but I cannot lose face in front of my men."</font>

----------------

Therlion and the two men following him left the encampment and started walking towards the south. They needed to cross a mountain pass about seven hundred meters higher to gain a view of the valley on the other side of it. So far the two men with him had shown no signs of violence...

Keal 09-06-2004 12:04 PM

<font color=orange>"Then if it is so, I accept the apology. Now, may we get on with the interigation, for I wish to help you."

dplax 09-06-2004 06:28 PM

For Keal:

Just as Kalam was about to explain that there was to be no interrogation the tent's flap flew open and a man with a bared sword jumped in. He held the quickly jumping Kalam at bay, while three more of his companions entered. Outside sounds of battle could be heard as most probably the ones loyal to Kalam battled the ones who had to kill him. The man who had first come into the tent, and who seemed to be the leader announced his intent.

<font color=blue>"You have betrayed your father and conspired to overthrow him. You must for this die!"</font>

He lunged at Kalam, while one of his companions advanced at Keal, with two short swords in his hands. Because of the size of the tent the other two men could not join the battle yet.

dplax 09-06-2004 06:31 PM

For Therlion:

As you move up the mountain side you hear the sounds of the battle behind you. You turn back just in time to see the rider who had previously menaced you plunging his sword in the heart of the one you chose to follow you. Pulling out the sword and with a menacing look on his face he moved towards you with blood dripping from his sword.

<font color=blue>"Told you I'll be the one to get you!"</font>

And when saying the last word he jumped at Therlion swinging his sword in an upward motion.

The Fallen One 09-06-2004 06:46 PM

Terias decides to go back to where the group is waiting and states that they should try the first door on the left.

OOC> anyone else post opinions of which door you want to go through, and we shall decide how to proceed

dplax 09-06-2004 06:52 PM

For Terias:

OOC: since Cienden doesn't seem to be here you are the only non DM character in the stronghold group and therefore you are the one to decide. So here goes:

IC: Oruniun agrees that starting to open doors might be the right choice and therefore opens the door Terias suggested. Inside, apart from a few rags there is nothing. You can open a different door or return the way that you came.

Bozos of Bones 09-06-2004 06:59 PM

Therlion threw himself to the side and turned towards the man. He held out his open hand, and quickly closed it and pulled it towards himself, trying to disarm the enemy. The man just took a step with the blade, but held it tight. <font color=silver>"Fine!"</font> Therlion screamed, as he pulled out his shortsword with his right arm and one of his daggers with the other. He threw he dagger at the man, but he dodged it easily and hurled himself upon Therlion. The elf pulled his left hand as if he pulled on a rope and the man grimaced with a surprised expression. He tumbled, with the dagger sticking from his back. He crawled on the ground, still intent to kill Therlion, and got up on his knees. Therlion slashed open his throat with his shortsword. He took out the dagger from the corpse's back and started running towards the camp, but felt a pain in his leg. Then, he realised he wasn't as successfull at dodging the man's sword as he thought, as there was a long cut in his left thy. <font color=silver>"Rrgh, stupid!"</font> he cursed both himself and the bald man as he tore out some of his half-robes to tie a knot to stop the bleeding. He continued towards the camp.

Keal 09-06-2004 08:18 PM

<font color=orange>Keal turns around, quickly kicks two of the men in the face, and knocking them out of the tent. The man after Kalam turns around and tries to attack Keal. Keal turns around while the man slashes at him, wich frees his hands. He quickly pulls out Therloin's dagger from the side of his pants, and gets in a fighting stance. Keal slashes at the man's neck, and finds he is succesful, but the cut is not very deep, so he can survive."I'll leave you to decide what is to become of this man." Keal says as he hands the dagger to Kalam. Keal quickly readies himself for battle in bronze plated shoulder pads(like football shoulder pads), bronze plated boots, and a sword with Fingolfin's mark labled on it.

dplax 09-07-2004 07:17 AM

For Keal and Therlion:

While Kalam killed his attacker Keal knocked two of his attackers to the ground and wounded another. The two who were on the ground slowly got up and readied themselves for another attack. The one whose neck had been slightly cut seemed to be undecided what to do, but still had his sword in his hand. Suddenly he swung his sword at Kalam who not expecting the man he had just spared to attack him was gravely wounded in his back. The two others turned towards Keal in a defensive posture.

Therlion has now nearly arrived at the encampment. You can see several small groups of men fighting each other but you cannot know who is on who's side.

The Fallen One 09-07-2004 08:11 AM

Terias decides to try a few more doors before deciding that it was futile to have come this way and return the way they came. The next door he thinks they should try, is the first one in the right.

[ 09-07-2004, 08:25 AM: Message edited by: The Fallen One ]

dplax 09-07-2004 08:17 AM

For Terias:

As you carefully open the door it suddenly is swung open with incredibly force and you are pushed back. An old man with nearly no clothes, white hair reaching his waist runs out. He looks around confused, wincing from the low light which reaches him. It is clear he had been in the cell for a long time. Suddenly he spots Terias and starts running at him.

<font color=blue>"You shall not get me without a fight. I shall kill you, you foul orc."</font>

The Fallen One 09-07-2004 08:26 AM

<font color = red> Terias quickly moves back, and uses a basic lightning spell to immobilize the person and question him after he has calmed down. </font>

Larry_OHF 09-07-2004 08:45 AM

<font color=skyblue>Turin

Turin should not have been surprised that the stuff had already been gathered and held, and he supposed that Robyn had received a rude awakening as well. He hoped she was alright.

He walked over to put on his gear and strap on his sword sheath. When he got everything put on, he gave Roland a quick glance that told his intentions in his eyes...then walked over to Easthome and kneeled down in front of him.

"Lord, with your blessing, my companion and I shall rid this land of those that would do harm to this people. They shall fall by my sword even this day."

He looked up to the Lord, waiting for an answer. </font>

OOC>>>It is my intention to strike down Easthome on my next post, but I need Roland to deal with those guards back there, incase any of them have ranged weapons.

dplax 09-07-2004 10:02 AM

For Turin and Roland:

Lord Easthome looked at Turin and then with a wave of his hand dismissed him, and he himself turned his back towards Turin and started walking back towards the town.

The five guards are armed as follows. The two personal guards of Lord Easthome both have longswords and large shields. The three who brought your equipment have two of them swords and one of them a spear. Lord Easthome can now easily be striked down, but will Turin do it in the back?

dplax 09-07-2004 10:08 AM

For Terias:

The shock caused the fragile body of the old man to fly back a few feet and he falled unconscious. Oronuin ran over to him and picked him up in his arms.

<font color=white>"Stop, don't hurt him any further. This is my father. He was taken away from our village while I was still a child. Clearly the years he spent here have made him nearly insane. We have to get him out of here."</font>

OOC: you can try other doors or leave the way you came, or try the strong metal door on the other side of the corridor

Bozos of Bones 09-07-2004 02:04 PM

Therlion stopped a few feet away from the battle, and one man lunged himself at him screaming <font color=green>"Die!"</font>, but was easily dispatched with a dagger in the chest. Glancing over the chaos, Therlion screamed <font color=silver>"For Kalam!!"</font>, and jumped into the fray. He noticed a man on his left repeating the cry, and Therlion quickly started fighting with the man against whoever he was fighting. It didn't take long for the two of them to kill the man, with Therlion severing his arm off, and his new ally ran him through. The two found another pair of fighters, and the one attacked by Therlion's comrade was attacked by Therlion as well. It didn't take long for Therlion to realise on wich actual 'side' he was fighting.
