Killing Spree 01-17-2002 09:21 PM

:rolleyes: This is just another reason I can't have you three together. With Thalali and Grand Slayer we have the occasional joke. When we add Midget to the equation, all hell breaks loose...

I'll go check up on how many spells I'm entitled to, but you can be sure I won't be wasting 'em on stoneskin And I will really strive to give good-quality drama, minus the tears ;)

mistral4543 01-18-2002 06:59 AM

Spree, I've checked up on the number of spells my character is entitled to and I'm not going to add any extras, just to be fair to the others ;) Erm… in the course of reading up on classes, I realised that sorcerors tend to be more chaotic than lawful :rolleyes: So here are the finalised details of my character, if you don't mind the slight changes :D

1. Name: Mistral

2. Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

3. Class: Sorceress, worships Ciretose

Level 2 - Horror(6), Knock(6), Melf's Acid Arrow(6), Resist Fear(6)

Level 5 - Breach(3)

4. Physical Description: Raven black hair, Chestnut brown eyes. Rumour has it that her exotic looks are inherited from a dragon ancestor

5. Weapon Proficiency: Quarterstaff+ Sling+

6. Character Description: Being a free spirit, Mistral treasures the true freedom to do just what she likes without needing to abide by any codes of conduct. While capable of blending into any company, she always makes the deliberate decision to detach herself emotionally from others. In that sense, she is a loner. She also prefers to listen rather than speak, making her a taciturn character most of the time.

Mistral prefers a quiet spot where she can enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature. However, she acknowledges the need to adventure at times, since this helps to improve her arcane abilities.

Glorfindel 01-18-2002 07:06 AM

Do you want us to tell you what spells our chars know?? and if so what level would yu like us to start at?

Garnet FalconDance 01-18-2002 08:23 AM

Could I please be considered for this adventure?

Name: Crystal D'AssKin

Gender: female

Race: half elven

Class: Fighter

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Proficiencies: +++++great swords, +++++large swords (prefers scimitars and bastard swords but does have several smaller sharp pointy weapons concealed)

Physical description: slender, reddish hair kept tightly plaited while adventuring, not beautiful but attractive, definite air of confidence

Personality: A curious mixture of brash and bold with prim and shy, Crystal enjoys the adventuring life and frequenting taverns with her male companions yet at the end of an adventure, she can be found luxuriating in a bubble bath with candles and donning skirts. An incorrigible flirt, she is also intimidating to those who prove enemies as she is a formidable foe. She does nurture a streak of vanity in that her armor is quite a lively shade of red and her manner of fighting stylishly deadly. In fact, her rather quirky sense of humor can be witnessed by companions who often find themselves in paroxsms of laughter when she approaches (a much larger enemy) and, looking up at him, says "Make this easy on yourself....hold *still* while I smite thee!"

Crystal is quite a fun gal, really. Can she join in?

Glorfindel - I told the mages that their spells should be like those of a level 10 character. You're dual classed however, so you'll probably want to edge back a little bit. Start your spells off at level 7 hun. You don't need to post them, I trust you'll play honest! Otherwise I'll have to find creative ways to punish you.

Mistral - Please warn me before you go on a hugging spree! And your idea of drama without soap opera sounds good. Though, I am kind of counting on you to bring some emotion into play. ;) Do your thing babe!

Garnet FalconDance - Your character sounds very interesting and she will indeed be accepted! I'll post her starting location ASAP. ;) You got here just in time. Now our numbers are even.

Larry_OHF 01-18-2002 11:51 AM

Spree, if you let me and Mistral meet up and travel together, I PROMISE to not even like her, except for her usefulness as a magic-user.
Pretty please!
~Larry gives that green-eyed, lost puppy dawg look~

Talthyr Malkaviel 01-18-2002 11:51 AM

You're just lucky it evens the numbers Garnet.
Otherwise Spree might've tried stitching a sausage to your loin area and gluing on hair in such places as your armpit.
She might've even started calling you Bob.

::blows raspberries:: Like to see her try!

;)

(Would've just brought in my dwarven tank instead. Not quite as cute and spunky as Crystal, but grand in a fight and handy in a tavern brawl!)

Killing Spree 01-18-2002 12:04 PM

Hail Crystal!

Deciding Your Location...

A half-elf has some choices, as does a fighter. Your lack of a specific deity only broadens horizons. Your rambunctious manner would lead your to travel, and a place like Nearsessi would likely bore the hell out of you. You're adaptable, and enjoy adventure...

Crystal, your story begins in the Northern city of Serinaquei. Serinaquei is the Northernmost city in all of the lands, and is on the Western side of the Bulwark River. It's part of the fabled "Trinity" of cities, which encludes Serinaquei, Khalidin, and Karamikay. It takes only five hours to walk from one of these cities to either of its sisters. The Bulwark ferry is comparitavely close to you, and it would take between 10 hours and a day to get there from your city, depending on your route and way of transportation. Serinaquei is a beautiful city, and interesting as well. Deities worshipped here are Ciretose, Tareniti, and Mesrhy. You like to travel, but you also enjoy certain luxuries, and so have settled a cozy home. Your house is on the Eastern side of the city, where things are peaceful. You're fairly well off from your years of adventuring, but you do work a part-time job as a waitress and cook in the city's tavern - "The Serenity Inn". You have a few friends in the city, and most aquaintances of yours think fairly of you. Unfortunately not everybody has the pleasure of knowing you because you adventure so frequently!

Oh no. Not the puppy-dog eyes. Anything but the green puppy dawg eyes! Ooooohhh... Damn yooouuuuu... All right, I give in. I'll try to work it out. You can never say I'm not generous modding mage! I taught you how to cook, let you use my tavern as a temple, let you work in my tavern, gave you a wolf puppy, and NOW I'm doing this!

Talthyr - I'm going to grant you one wish. What do you want more that ANYTHING in Ironworks? :D Do you want a girdle of gender change?

Talthyr Malkaviel 01-18-2002 12:33 PM

More than anything? I dunno, what sort of thing?
I'm not sure I fully trust you after that scissor incident (j/k)

Lucre 01-18-2002 12:35 PM

Are you going to have lots of sifferent threads, like one fore each city, because everyone posting on here will be very confusing unless you tell everyone who lives in such and such a place to write in one colour and in another place another colour.

Killing Spree 01-18-2002 12:40 PM

Lucre- How'd you figure it out?! How'd you know about the color-typee thing?! ARGH...

<marquee>LARRY! HAVE YOU BEEN READING MY DIARY AGAIN?!</marquee>

Talthyr- I've decided that 6 to 8 is OK. Just so long as it isn't as out of wack as before. Do you want the filling to your sandwhich back? :D

Talthyr Malkaviel 01-18-2002 12:47 PM

Well, luckily, I myself have still got my genitals, but if you want the numbers to be even, I'm not at all opposed to being either sex, which would you prefer?

Killing Spree 01-18-2002 12:58 PM

I'm asking you which you would prefer you goose! And be quick about it, we're starting today!

Talthyr Malkaviel 01-18-2002 01:05 PM

Name: Garaeth Truesword
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class: Cavalier
Alignment: Lawful good
Proficiencies: 2-Handed Sword ++++, Bastard Sword ++, Long Sword +++
Character's personality: Normally mild-tempered, but when he meets the hordes of evil, he goes at them with an unnerving and grim determination that can seem quite unsettling, not content until all foul denizens of the dark are vanquished by his blade.
He is chivalrous yet not cocky or arrogant like some paladins, and a true friend and worthy comrade.
Physical description: Tall, olive skinned, muscular, black hair and green/grey eyes.
Oh yeah, worships Veseer, if you hadn't already guessed.

Garnet FalconDance 01-18-2002 01:18 PM

A waitress and cook! Stereotyping!!! I'd be a barkeep, for sure!

Killing Spree 01-18-2002 01:38 PM

I'm afraid that job was taken long before you got here miss!

Talthyr Malkaviel 01-18-2002 01:38 PM

Uh- Oh, slight problem, since I'm several hours ahead, and need to do something, I'll need to pop in a bit later ok.

AngelofDeath 01-18-2002 01:56 PM

Lerris:

Pacing back and forth(patiently) in his library..........

Holy Knight Delita 01-18-2002 03:02 PM

Why does everyone have MASSES UPON MASSES of profeciencies? Example:

quote:
Proficiences: ++++ scimitar
+++ two weapon style
+ warhammers

quote:
+++ dagger
+++ longbow
++++ bastardsword

quote:
2-Handed Sword ++++, Bastard Sword ++, Long Sword +++

quote:
+++++great swords, +++++large swords

I mean are we trying to play god-mode or something?... but if it doesn't matter to spree im fine with it then...

Killing Spree 01-18-2002 03:18 PM

;) In the end good knight, it dosen't make a helluva lot of difference.

OK EVERYBODY! I'm going to type the new thread now, keep your eyes peeled!

Holy Knight Delita 01-18-2002 03:23 PM

PEELING EYES? doesnt that hurt?

J'aran 01-18-2002 03:35 PM

Not if you use a cow's eyes, like we did in biology class in high school.

No, Delita, it means that the character Crystal D'AssKin really *does* have 5 pts in great and 5 pts in large swords! She is a fighter I played thru IWD and chose to specialize.

Welcome to our forum, the Legend!

I er...have this quote from Spree's first posting of her game thread for you to read...
Quote:

Above are the players, nobody else is allowed in as of now. They'll have to wait for the next game.
Yet, I am not her spokesperson. I will let her decide if she wants to break her own rule.

If not, then I hope you will find another game on this forum that is open to the public just as enjoyable.
